Chapter 21 The Mission of Generation 3
Chapter 21 The Mission of Generation 3
As soon as get out of class ended, Minato was immediately surrounded by the girls in his class.
"Hey, Minato-kun, wanna have lunch together? My mom's bento boxes are delicious!"
"No, thank you, I brought a bento box..."
"Minato-kun, where do you live? Want to walk home together after school?"
"Sorry, I'm going back with a friend, so it's not convenient..."
Minato's smile was somewhat forced; the girls' expressions of affection were too direct, even he found it a bit annoying.
"Could you please move aside for a moment? I need to use the restroom."
"Hey, that's exactly what I wanted to do!"
"Since we're going that way, let's all go together."
Several girls were chattering away. Hearing this, Minato had no choice but to leave the classroom, surrounded by a large group of girls.
Just after everyone left, another water gate quietly peeked out from behind the podium.
"Huh? A clone? You've even mastered the art of creating clones?"
Shinnosuke was astonished when he saw this.
Before the start of the semester, Minato had defeated him in physical combat, but he believed he could get his revenge in other areas.
For example, ninjutsu!
As the son of the Hokage, he had already mastered the Three Body Techniques before the start of the school year, and even learned the Dragon Fire Technique.
Although the power was a bit weak, only enough to burn some firewood, it was still quite remarkable that a five-year-old could unleash a C-rank ninjutsu.
Minato nodded: "I learned a little bit before."
"Damn it, I couldn't beat you in this aspect either?"
Shinnosuke was a little annoyed, but then he said with renewed fighting spirit, "When will you fight me again!"
"I'll definitely do it next time."
Minato smiled in response and turned back to his seat.
"Namikaze-kun is amazing."
Nonou looked at Minato: "I didn't expect you to have already mastered the Shadow Clone Technique. I'm not even proficient in extracting chakra yet."
Minato smiled modestly: "I just have a bit more talent. With diligent practice, you can do it too."
"Really?"
Nonou looked very happy: "I hope it will turn out like what Namikaze-kun said."
"Just call me Minato."
Minato smiled gently. "Would it be convenient to call me by my name?"
Nono nodded shyly.
According to the customs of the ninja world, only close relatives or friends will address each other by name.
Of course, there will also be those infatuated female fans who try to get closer to others by calling them by name.
However, this is usually done by girls. If a boy does this, it will be considered harassment, and he must obtain the other party's consent first.
"I had already learned some ninjutsu before I enrolled, so if there's anything you don't understand, Nono-kun, feel free to ask me anytime."
Minato wasn't sure whether Nonou's appearance was a coincidence or a deliberate arrangement, but he felt it was worth testing the waters a little.
Nono was a little embarrassed, but she didn't refuse: "Then thank you very much, Minato-kun."
"You're too kind. Shouldn't classmates help each other out?"
Minato smiled happily, and his sunny smile made Nono's pretty face blush slightly.
…………
"Let's help each other out..."
In the Hokage's office building, Hiruzen Sarutobi, with a pipe in his mouth, looked on with satisfaction.
He was dressed in casual clothes, sitting cross-legged on the tatami mat, with the scene inside Minato's class projected into the crystal ball in front of him.
A knocking sound suddenly rang out, and Hiruzen Sarutobi deactivated his telescope technique, causing the image on the crystal ball to vanish instantly.
"Come in."
"Sorry to bother you."
Umino Ikkaku entered the room and knelt on one knee: "Hokage-sama."
"It's one cent."
Hiruzen Sarutobi asked cheerfully, "How was Shinnosuke's performance?"
"Shinnosuke's performance..."
Umino hesitated for a moment: "I wasn't too serious. Maybe it's because I studied it before I enrolled. I was a little distracted in class, and most of my attention was on Minato Namikaze."
"Haha, I knew it was so?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi slapped his forehead helplessly: "He's still just a child. Starting earlier than his peers inevitably breeds pride. What about Minato?"
"Very serious!"
Mentioning Minato, Unno Ikkaku's tone carried a hint of admiration: "That kid memorized all the knowledge from class, and he has a very calm personality, but he's a bit too gentle."
"Gentle, huh..."
Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression was inscrutable as he thought of one of his worthless disciples.
Two days ago, Jiraiya suddenly suggested to him that he wanted to go to Mount Myōboku to train for a while.
The feeling he got from Jiraiya at that time was different from any other time.
He looked dejected and listless, but his eyes held a newfound firmness and seriousness.
He initially thought the other person had suffered some kind of setback, such as being rejected by Tsunade after confessing their feelings.
So after agreeing to the request, Hiruzen Sarutobi summoned Tsunade.
I wanted to hear some gossip about these disciples, but I ended up learning from Tsunade that this kid had actually been brought to his knees by Minato!
Especially when he heard Minato say "Who cares" from Tsunade, even he felt his face burning.
This child isn't as gentle as he seems... he can even be quite aggressive.
Thinking of this, Hiruzen Sarutobi couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Ikkaku, how's your chakra nature transformation training going?"
"I have mastered the changes in the properties of earth, but I still need to spend time refining it."
Unno Ikkaku was a little nervous when suddenly asked about his training.
"Hmm... In that case, Ichikaku, I need you to be able to educate that child properly."
Hiruzen Sarutobi, with a pipe in his mouth, pondered for a moment before slowly speaking.
"To be honest, Minato's talent is so outstanding that even my disciple Orochimaru is not as good as him. That's why he needs more proper guidance."
"Huh? Me?"
Ikkaku Umino looked on in astonishment: "Talent even surpassing Orochimaru's... with my abilities, I'm afraid..."
"No, that child is Tsunade's disciple, and Tsunade will teach him cultivation."
Hiruzen Sarutobi said seriously, "With your qualifications, you should have been promoted to Special Jonin by now. However, after reviewing your previous mission records, I found that everyone who has been your teammate has a very high opinion of you."
"Frankness, honesty, selflessness, diligence, integrity... that's why I transferred you to the Ninja Academy. I hope you can pass on these precious qualities to the next generation of students, especially Minato."
"I guess this is partly my own selfish reason, since Shinnosuke is in your class too..."
"As compensation for affecting your promotion process, I will teach you some ninjutsu and guide you through the training of the second type of chakra nature transformation."
Upon hearing this, Umino Ikkaku's expression turned solemn: "Yes! I will certainly not let you down!"
"There's no need to put so much pressure on yourself."
Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled with satisfaction: "Minato's character is quite outstanding. In comparison, Shinnosuke is the one we need to worry about more."
"But no matter which child in the class it is, I hope you can treat them fairly and not let the task affect the education of other children."
"yes!"
