Chapter 61: I started my own group before you guys even started!
Normally, when a city hosts an All-Star game, the host city is expected to welcome the All-Star players and show hospitality.
But this year is different.
The Golden State Warriors are terrible!
This team doesn't even have a veteran player who has ever been an All-Star, let alone an All-Star.
In other words, there isn't a single player on this team who knows the rules.
They also had the aging John Starks in the first half of the season, but Starks was traded to the Bulls two weeks ago.
The team's current star player is sophomore Antawn Jamison, and below him is...
Donyell Marshall and Chris Mills.
Don't ask Lin Ze who these two people are; Lin Ze can't give an answer either.
He vaguely recognized Marshall because in his previous life, Lin Ze had come across his name when he was browsing the "NBA Single Game Three-Pointers Make Leaderboard" in his spare time. Marshall had made 12 three-pointers in a single game and was once the NBA record holder for most three-pointers made in a single game.
Among a list of names like Curry, Klay, and Kobe, this one person stands out quite a bit.
This Warriors team is completely rotten from top to bottom. Not only do they lack manners and don't they know that the host should greet the guests?
Even if they knew, would the star players give them face if you sent rookie Jamison and Marshall to greet them? Would they be willing to play with them?
So, without any guidance, Lin Ze and his two companions quickly found the bus prepared by the Alliance and boarded it.
As for Jackson, he just left with league staff, obviously there's still the coaches' work to do.
"Hey Shaq! Long time no see, how have you been?" A hoarse voice, tinged with a hint of teasing, rang out. "Taking care of kids must be exhausting, right? I hope you haven't become a nanny who can't drink or play!"
Lin Ze recognized the guy at a glance, with his distinctive voice and dazzling blond hair.
He was the Phoenix Suns' star player and Kobe's starting partner in the All-Star Game.
Jason Kidd, a master of top-tier organization.
"Fuck you, Jason!" O'Neal, who clearly had a good relationship with Kidd, gave him the middle finger when no one else was around. "It's better than you being the nurse taking care of your teammate. Can Anfernee even walk on his own now? He won't need you to help him pee every time, will he?"
"I'll tell Anfernee," Kidd chuckled.
"Then he'll kick you out of Phoenix." Shaquille O'Neal definitely harbors resentment when he mentions Penny Hardaway.
The Orlando comment, "We can't give you too much money, or Penny will be unhappy," deeply stung Shaquille O'Neal, causing the sensitive and fragile O'Neal to be heartbroken for a long time.
This once-star duo is now, if not at all, at least like strangers.
After chatting with O'Neal for a bit, Kidd turned to Lin Ze: "Kid, how's it feeling to be a starter for the first time? If you buy me drinks tonight, I'll feed you a lot of balls and let you show off!"
"Sure," Lin Ze said with a smile. "I'll cover all your drinks for the next three days. And if you can make me the All-Star MVP, I'll cover all your drinks for the rest of the year."
"Hahaha, Shaq, your little brother's bribing me." Kidd laughed heartily, then glanced at Kobe without hesitation and said, "Linbe Kobe, probably 100 times funnier!"
When the conversation turned to himself, Kobe looked up at the group of people, then lowered his head and continued to stare blankly without saying anything.
Who knows what he's thinking?
"Who are we waiting for? Why aren't we driving?" O'Neal got bored after sitting in the car for a while and urged the driver, who had been sitting silently in the driver's seat, to hurry up.
"There are four more people," the driver said. "If the flight isn't delayed, we can leave within 10 minutes."
No sooner had the driver finished speaking than the minibus door was opened again.
Then the four figures filed into the car and sat down, which meant that everyone was present and the car could start.
But once these four people got on, the atmosphere in the entire carriage immediately changed.
Garnett, Iverson, Duncan, David Robinson!
Of these four people, three have a grudge against Lin Ze.
Garnett, in particular, was so badly affected by Lin Ze that he lost his starting position.
Aside from Duncan finding a seat as soon as he got on the bus and sitting down with Kobe in a daze, the other three people immediately fixed their eyes on Lin Ze.
Their hostility towards Lin Ze was completely undisguised.
Fortunately, Lin Ze also disliked them.
"I didn't expect the biggest fish in the All-Star Game to be here." Garnett stared at Lin Ze and said, "You know what kind of fish I'm talking about, right? A fish that's trying to fish in troubled waters!"
"FUXX! Kevin! You can actually use such advanced words." Lin Ze's eyes widened exaggeratedly. "I'm really impressed! I thought you were an idiot."
"What did you say?" Garnett roared.
"So he's not just mentally challenged, he's also deaf, David." Lin Ze's gaze passed over Garnett and looked at Robinson sitting next to Duncan: "Take him with you when you receive your Purple Heart. He may not be a soldier, but he's disabled."
"Is deafness considered a disability, Allen?" Lin Ze looked at Iverson again: "I know that dwarfism is a type of disability, but I'm not really sure if deafness is."
Sitting in the middle, Kidd watched as Lin Ze initiated a team fight, instantly activating his skills by targeting three people in quick succession.
He loves watching excitement.
As for why Lin Ze started this group?
Lin Ze indicated that he would strike first.
Before you guys even started your group, I've already started one myself!
Iverson's expression immediately turned cold: "Kid, don't think you're safe just because Shaq is around. Shaq isn't your father; he can't protect you forever!"
"Oh?" Lin Ze laughed. "How about we get out of the car and talk privately? I guarantee you'll have a wonderful five minutes, and then you can tell your fans: you almost got pinned to the ground and eaten by a tiger."
"You..." Robinson, who was sitting next to Duncan, opened his mouth to speak, but Lin Ze impatiently waved his hand, interrupting him.
"I don't talk to sissies, so shut up, trash. I won't respond to a single word you say."
"Alright." Seeing that Lin Ze had the upper hand, the remaining three were a bit speechless. If they continued, it would just be pure profanity or even physical fight. O'Neal calmly and cheerfully smoothed things over, saying, "All-Star Weekend is for relaxing, not arguing."
"Jerry's got a boat ready. How about we go out to sea and have some fun tonight?"
