Chapter 33: The Professor's Tacit Approval
Chapter 33: The Professor's Tacit Approval
obviously.
Snape wanted to prove that Ian was telling a bunch of lies by "recreating" the bizarre scene Ian described.
but.
Ian, however, was not nervous about it.
While not as comprehensive or educational as Grindelwald's notes in "The Secrets of Dark Magic," the spell Snape recorded was clearly not a particularly difficult one.
"Is hostility necessary...?"
Ian read it very carefully.
He did not grasp the entire magic at once.
Perhaps it's because the magic isn't dark enough?
Ian, who was already aware of his own dark magic talent, thought to himself.
And at this time.
"Heh, all pretense..."
Snape was just waiting for Ian to admit defeat.
During Ian's reading.
He pulled out his wand.
With a wave of the hand.
The wooden planks piled up in the corner began to be pieced together to form coffins, and the scattered corpses were drawn by an invisible force and automatically floated into the coffins wrapped in oilcloth.
"Splash~"
The coffins were buried one by one in the soil.
The soil that had been piled up inside the house was also being backfilled onto the ground.
soon.
The entire living room was restored to its original state.
What Ian had been struggling with all afternoon was accomplished by magic in just a few minutes, and the corpses no longer needed to be forced into a coffin.
Actually, if Ian hadn't summoned those corpses when they broke out of their coffins, he wouldn't have needed to rebuild coffins to compensate the dead.
All I can say is that he has a conscience.
But not enough conscience.
no way.
Nailing coffins is incredibly tiring, and Ian only came up with the idea of burying multiple bodies together to save time. After all, these corpses finally have a new home, don't they?
"Mr. Prince, I don't have time for you to keep stalling."
The mess has been cleaned up.
Snape, his face darkening again, reminded Ian, who was standing in the corner.
"professor."
Ian finally broke free from his focused study and looked up.
"It's not too late if you want to confess and receive leniency."
Snape snorted.
"Professor, is this black magic?"
Ian seemed somewhat hesitant to speak.
"certainly."
Snape glanced sideways at Ian.
"Won't it cause me any trouble if I learn it?" Ian continued to ask.
Snape showed an impatient expression.
"Aren't you worried about getting into trouble when you're learning the Corpse Control Charm?" Snape chuckled, staring at Ian with an eye that seemed to see right through his tricks.
"Don't give me any ridiculous excuses or lame pretexts that you can't actually learn it. Didn't you find the note, try it out of curiosity, and then learn the [Corpse Control Spell]?"
"This isn't even standard dark magic. Given your ridiculously inflated self-confidence, I thought that a few minor spells shouldn't be a problem for a magical genius like you."
Snape emphasized the words "magical genius".
It's incredibly ironic.
"I didn't make any excuses or reasons, you misunderstood, Professor." Ian blinked and looked at the new level 1 skill that had appeared on his skill panel.
"I just feel..."
Ian pulled out his wand and aimed it at the remaining pile of planks not far away.
"The Divine Blade is Without a Shadow!"
Ian whispered, and as his voice fell, there seemed to be a slight, imperceptible ripple in the air. An invisible blade swept across the incantation like a ghost, as if an unseen sword was being wildly swung, cutting everything in its path to pieces.
A piercing tearing sound rang out.
Fragments flew everywhere.
Wood chips and dust filled the entire living room, falling like rain.
"It's not that difficult to learn."
Ian was covered in flying debris. He put away his wand, patted his clothes lightly, and looked at Snape with a slightly embarrassed smile.
"Perhaps Professor, you should present an even more difficult spell. That way, I might not be able to learn it. Professor, you can also see my predicament and distress."
Full of anticipation.
His words were full of concern for the other person.
There was no response.
Snape, standing on the other end, had his mocking smile completely frozen.
The atmosphere in the air also became somewhat eerie.
"professor?"
Ian persisted, unwilling to give up.
"Really, if it's any harder, any harder, I really won't be able to learn it." His thirst for knowledge was so pure that even his insincere words sounded sincere.
"..."
Snape's head was covered in wood chips, which clung to his greasy hair. However, he clearly had no time to worry about his hair now.
"What's wrong with you!?"
Snape's face twitched violently.
"As you can see, you almost stumped me."
Ian looked terrified.
Just like his previous absurd and outrageous statements.
Snape also did not take the bait.
At this moment.
This professor, who could go on for half an hour without repeating himself when he started to mock people, opened his mouth but couldn't utter a single word for a long time.
no way.
Who would have thought?
He had just brought one out of the orphanage not long ago.
The little wizard, who had only bought his wand a few days ago, actually succeeded in proving him wrong and showing him what magical talent "entirely self-taught" really means.
Is this a person?
What the hell is this?!
It took about twenty minutes in total?
Even Voldemort would have to hand you his wand if he came!
Snape looked somewhat dazed.
"Professor, Professor, haven't you decided yet? I suggest we stop giving me dark magic and instead test me with the God of Fire." Ian's voice chattered on.
"Shut up!"
Snape just wanted to calm down.
Good guy!
The God of Fire clears the way?
Do you dare to be any bolder?!
"All right……"
Ian shrank back.
Snape took a while to recover from his dazed, dreamlike state. He looked at the boy in front of him and had to reconsider Ian's words.
perhaps.
Did a dark wizard really drop a little note?
Where is the piece of paper you found?
Snape still refused to admit that he had made a mistake in his judgment.
"It's gone. Last night was a complete mess. A bunch of corpses crawled out. I don't know where the note went." Ian immediately made a frustrated expression.
"Don't mention yesterday...or today to anyone!" Snape's expression was complicated, and he didn't press further about the whereabouts of the note.
His gaze towards Ian held not only shock and disbelief, but also a hint of worry. Displaying extraordinary magical talent at this sensitive time was hardly a good thing.
Voldemort is coming back soon.
Grindelwald's saints and descendants also frequented the vicinity of Hogwarts.
Thinking about this...
Snape suddenly seemed to realize something.
perhaps.
The note this kid picked up, was dropped by one of Grindelwald's saints? If it was originally intended to be used to teach young Grindelwald, then that makes sense!
The more I think about it, the more likely it seems.
Before we knew it.
Snape no longer seemed to doubt Ian's story.
no way.
He had personally witnessed just how incredible his kid's talent was.
"School starts soon, so remember this: you're not allowed to use that magic you just learned on any student at school! Not even if someone you dislike provokes you!"
Snape was beginning to regret why he had brought out the Unyielding Edge.
Who would have thought!
This guy actually learned it!
"Okay, okay, of course I understand. I've always been kind to others."
Ian nodded quickly, making his promise.
He took Snape's words to heart.
after all.
Snape only said not to use the Shadowstep on people he disliked, but he didn't say not to use the Corpse Control Charm he learned yesterday on the ancestral graves of classmates he disliked.
Ok.
This must be a tacit approval from the professor!
