dong dong dong...
"He's sleeping like a log." Kane sighed and let Ron sleep soundly behind him. He then leaned over and used a lock-picking spell to unlock the window, followed by a levitation spell to make Harry float off the bed. Finally, he used the little trick that Snape had taught them in class.
It rotates slightly in a tiny arc, then suddenly stops.
Okay, he's still not awake, let's just take him out.
Kane used magic to lift Harry out, holding him behind his back and across Ron's chest. After securing him, Kane also lifted out Hugin and Hedwig, who were sleeping.
"Alright, Kane, we should go!" Ron urged.
"Wait a minute, just one last step." Kane said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a piece of parchment he had prepared beforehand. He then threw it in and gripped the handle, sending the three people, two birds, and a pumpkin flying out with a whoosh.
"What's that parchment for?" Ron suddenly asked from behind.
"A letter telling us we took Harry, or it would be bad to call the police for something like this," Kane shouted.
"Did you sign your name?" Harry asked slowly, seemingly out of nowhere.
"What kind of stupid question is that?" Kane shouted, turning back. "Why would I possibly sign my name on such a stupid question?"
Harry woke up with an unnatural twitch at the corner of his mouth. It wasn't Kane's fault, nor Ron's. If you had to blame someone, it would be Hermione for not being a boy.
If Hermione were a boy and had followed, she would definitely have noticed some flaws in Kane's behavior, such as him taking her away under the cover of night. The next day, Dursley would only think he had run away from home, and when he got hungry or the next school term started, he would automatically reappear at the Dursley's doorstep.
But sending this inappropriate letter was a different story. He could guess with his own eyes how stiff Kane's writing style was. So, when his furious Uncle Vernon kicked open his bedroom door the next day and saw such a stiff letter, his first reaction would probably be to be very happy.
He realized he had been kidnapped. If the kidnapper delayed paying the fine, he would be killed, and then the kidnapper could take his family and run away.
Um...
"If only that were true," Harry murmured softly.
"Alright, Harry, now that you're awake, we should hurry up. We were worried you might catch a cold." Kane felt that Harry had been awake for a while, and it was about time to speed up the journey home.
Harry looked puzzled: "Isn't this the maximum speed?"
"Harry, I advise you to be a little more humble; this speed might be beyond your imagination," Ron warned from behind.
It would have been better if he hadn't reminded Harry; the reminder only really ignited his competitive spirit.
"Fly! Fly like hell! I usually race on a Nimbus 2000! You think you can surprise me with speed? Impossible!" Harry's smooth and witty banter successfully put Kane at ease.
Finally, I can accelerate to my heart's content. The last time I accelerated that much, Lockhart was still behind me.
Instead of the acceleration and push-back feeling that Harry was caught in the middle, he was first met with Ron's sudden tightening grip.
Just as Harry turned around to ask Ron what kind of trouble he was up to, a strange, illogical acceleration suddenly made his open mouth tremble like an open sack of flour.
"What is this speed?!" Harry asked, his mouth trembling.
Just when he thought this broom might be some new force that had suddenly joined, such as the German-made Ophenseska, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, or the Floating Light and Track Light, these were the high-end brooms that Light Wheel Company had just launched this year.
It could also be a light cone; it's an old-fashioned broom, bought specifically for modification, so accelerating it to this speed is understandable.
A percentage is also very good. It's a new concept broom that sweeps the company. Maybe Dumbledore got the goods for Kane. He likes Kane so much, he should be able to help.
What? What do you mean this broom is the same one you made by hand before? Called a mantis shrimp?
"Hey buddy? Why didn't you tell us you had this skill before? Wait, could you make me one of these mantis shrimps? I want to try it too," Harry said, sounding a little envious.
"Hmm, it's difficult. I only have one raw material left, but lending it to you for a bit is no problem."
"What are your raw materials? Let me take a look?" Harry wanted to make one last attempt, but to be honest, he never expected to get any real answer. After all, everyone knows Kane.
They dress in outlandish clothes, but in reality, whatever you pull out of their clothes is some kind of ugly thing that's incredibly expensive and made from hundreds of gold coins.
Or it's some awesome gift from some unknown distant relative.
To everyone's surprise, Kane replied, "Well, this thing isn't actually that difficult to explain."
"Tell me more!" Harry's eyes lit up.
"Go to the Arctic, kill two walruses, and pull out their tusks for me."
Harry:
'
'
If he didn't know Kane's character, he would have really thought Kane was just joking around.
However, after getting to know Kane, he felt that this matter had great potential.
I just don't know if there are any flights to the Arctic.
the next day.
Mrs. Weasley came out of the kitchen and looked at her husband and children sitting in a row at the dining table.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... Hmm, they were all so skinny. Just thinking about how she would soon feed these poor little ones until they were plump and healthy made her...
Wait, eight?
Mrs. Weasley counted again and, sure enough, saw the little wizard who had appeared on the table.
The others finally breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Mrs. Weasley's expression.
"Oh, Harry, when did you arrive?" Mrs. Weasley asked, her maternal instincts kicking in once again, her voice a mixture of surprise and delight.
"Kane and Ron picked me up on broomsticks around dawn yesterday," Harry replied.
"Yes, that's it! Mom, scold them both loudly!"
"Yes, riding a broomstick late at night is very unsafe, and they didn't even tell you beforehand!"
Just as the Weasley twins were gloating, Mrs. Weasley simply went back to the kitchen and made another pot of hot milk tea for Kane and the other two.
"It just rained last night, you must be very cold. Drink this tea to warm yourself up."
After a long while, the Weasley twins finally fell silent, perhaps accepting their fate of being the same people but with different destinies.
"..."
A long sigh marked the beginning of Harry's first day at the Weasleys' house, which was, of course, absolutely a welcome.
That night, on the small bed for the three of them.
"Kane, are you having fun here?" Harry suddenly asked Ron across from him.
Before Kane could answer, Ron sat up, somewhat bewildered: "Why are you unhappy?"
"Um, Harry probably didn't mean that. I personally guess he just suddenly became withdrawn for some reason," Kane explained for Harry and himself.
"I was just thinking, if my parents were still alive, would my family be as happy and lively as Ron's? Would they love me as much as they loved Ron?" Harry said quietly, lying in bed and looking at the moon outside the window.
Ron couldn't answer that question; he racked his brains but couldn't come up with a suitable answer.
However, Kane ignored this and spoke directly: "There will still be some differences."
"What?" Harry and Ron both looked at Kane.
"Your family will have some things that Ron's family has more of than Ron's, like money." After Kane finished speaking, Ron and Harry fell silent. They were both wondering how anyone could have someone who could ruin the atmosphere at any time.
"So, Kane, are you envious?" Harry, whose own sadness had been refreshed by Kane, was about to ask back.
"...Harry, you're being a bit ungrateful," Kane said quietly.
They talked a lot that night, until one day, Hogwarts mailed over the new term's reading list to Kane. All three reading lists were sent to the Burrow, which made Kane suspect that Dumbledore had secretly installed a tracking device on him.
However, before he could even ponder whether this was legal, Ron suddenly let out a strange cry: "What's this Defense Against the Dark Arts book list for the new semester?"
Kane then opened his envelope and glanced at it.
"Um.
""
Looking at the list of Lockhart's books on Defense Against the Dark Arts, Kane suddenly realized he had underestimated Lockhart.
He had always thought Lockhart was planning to use becoming a Hogwarts professor to gain fame and enhance his own reputation, but today he realized that this guy was clearly trying to make a shady deal with the Hogwarts headmaster and then, like a top seller landing a big order, add hundreds of orders to his book's sales at once.
"With his writing skills reaching this level, if he doesn't get rich, who will?" Kane sighed quietly.
Meanwhile, the Weasleys downstairs started calling up to the upstairs neighbors, announcing that today was the day to accompany their young wizard shopping in Diagon Alley. The Ministry of Magic, usually so unassuming, had unusually given everyone with children a day off.
Of course, given Mr. Weasley's family-oriented nature, let alone taking a holiday, he would most likely not miss such an event, let alone asking for leave or being absent from work.
Kane quickly got dressed and followed the other two downstairs. Percy, the Weasley twins, and Ginny were already waiting by the fireplace.
"Oh, everyone's here. You all know how to use Floo Powder, right?" Mrs. Weasley asked.
Yes, indeed, no one can't do it. This has been verified by Mrs. Weasley, because all seven children came to the Leaky Cauldron.
Most of the wizards drinking here looked on with envy at this scene. How could the Weasley family be so prosperous? Not only did they have many children, but they were all successful and popular. Their children could even make friends with the right people by accident. They also wanted to get to know those talented young wizards who were still without parents.
It's no wonder the Weasleys and Malfoys have been at odds for so long; they certainly have the resources. If they had that kind of personnel, let alone being at odds with the Malfoys, they could storm into their house, drag them out, and hang them from a lamppost to appease the world!
Thinking of this, they downed their drinks again, fantasizing about what it would be like if their own families were like that...
Now, it's time for fantasy!
The Weasley family, of course, paid no attention to what these people were thinking. They simply greeted the bartender, Old Tom, and headed straight for Gringotts in Diagon Alley.
The Weasley family went to the Weasley vault, while Kane and Harry went to the Potter vault.
Yes, of course, Kane was just worried that Harry would be too lonely withdrawing money alone; he absolutely had no intention of charging a friend's fee, absolutely...
Well, I've already decided to make Harry a flying broomstick by hand. Except for the walrus tusk for the walking stick, which Harry has to make himself, I'll embarrass myself by begging Dumbledore and Hagrid for everything else. What's wrong with taking a little friend's money from Harry?
No problem at all! Absolutely no problem whatsoever!
The vault opened quickly. Kane had brought a small bag specifically for today, intending to take more gold later and exchange it for gold bars if needed. In addition, he might be able to buy more books, except for Lockhart's books, of course.
After all, Kane never intended to buy Lockhart's books in the first place. He came here purely to buy other textbooks and the official Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook. As for Lockhart's Defense Against the Dark Arts course...
You can just go to Lockhart and ask for the whole set. At least his writing is really good, and it's a lot of fun to read when studying History of Magic.
He had always had a wonderful plan, but the difference was that after everyone left Gringotts, Flourish and Blotts slowly put up a banner.
What do you mean Lockhart is coming to Flourish and Blotts to hold an old book signing event? I stood him up for almost the entire holiday, and now he wants me to meet him so early in the morning, is this really appropriate?
