Chapter 106 Goodbye, Bucky the Clown!

Picking up where we left off, Luffy was carried away by a giant bird and then suddenly attacked by a cannon, causing him to fall into a town. He stood up and laughed heartily, exclaiming, "How lucky! Thank goodness I didn't fall into the sea, thank goodness..." However, after calming down, he discovered two men dressed as clowns staring intently at him with knives in their hands...

Seeing this, Luffy was about to ask what they wanted when the two of them suddenly swung their long swords at him. Luffy easily lifted them up with two punches and was wondering if they were seriously ill for attacking him for no reason when a girl's voice came from behind him—"You're so amazing!"

Luffy turned his head and saw a girl with orange hair. She said, "I'm Nami. Since you're so amazing, how about we find treasure together?"

Luffy immediately refused: "No way! I'm going to be the Pirate King, I have no interest in that..."

Upon hearing this, Nami thought to herself, (Damn it, another pirate... But maybe I can make good use of him since he seems so dim-witted...) Seeing Luffy about to leave, Nami immediately stepped forward to stop him, feigning concern and saying, "Don't be so hasty... I'm sincerely inviting you, you know. If we cooperate, we can definitely make a fortune..."

Luffy still refused, saying, "I already said I don't want it..." But the next second, he collapsed to the ground because he was so hungry...

Seeing this, Nami had no choice but to treat Luffy to a hearty meal first. While Luffy was eating, Nami asked, "By the way, what's your name...?"

Because of Nami's treat, Luffy completely let his guard down and earnestly replied, "I am Monkey D. Luffy, the man who will become the Pirate King!"

Upon hearing this, Nami thought to herself with disdain (Another one spouting empty words... What a despicable pirate!).

At this point, Luffy asked, "So what do you do?"

Nami replied, "I'm a cute girl who collects treasure, and I'm constantly traveling the seas to collect 100 million..."

Luffy then asked curiously, "So that means you know how to navigate!"

Nami answered affirmatively, "Of course! My dream is to draw the best nautical charts in the world and become the world's number one navigator!"

Luffy immediately got excited and promptly extended an invitation: "Then come and be my crew member! My ship is just short of a navigator."

Nami promptly refused, but then suggested, "Although I don't want to be a pirate, I can consider sailing with you for a while if you agree to one request."

Luffy agreed without even thinking...

Just then, Goten and Zoro arrived in town and were about to look for Luffy when they saw a man dressed as a bear riding a dog that looked like a lion walk past them. With a puzzled look on their faces, they saw a man riding a unicycle with his hair covering one eye walk past them and chase after the bear man.

Upon seeing this, Goten couldn't help but exclaim, "Have we stumbled into a circus?"

Zoro ignored the two and said to Goten, "Never mind that... let's go find Luffy first..."

So the two headed towards the location of the cannon. Don't ask why; after spending two days together, they were able to pinpoint Luffy's whereabouts through simple deduction...

Meanwhile, Nami locked Luffy in a cage and led him to the leader of the henchmen. The leader was dressed as a clown, with a particularly prominent red nose. Upon seeing Nami, he laughed maniacally and shouted, "Hahahaha, Nami, what are you up to? You stole my treasure map and you dare to come back!"

Nami, however, explained with a smile, "Lord Buggy, it's not what you think. The reason I stole your treasure map was because this guy in the cage forced me to. I had no choice, so to make amends, I specially captured him to apologize to you."

Nami's words clearly failed to convince Bucky the Clown. Seeing this, Nami immediately took out the treasure map and continued to argue, "Look, this is your treasure map, here you go!" Saying this, she returned the treasure map to Bucky the Clown and then said, "Please, let me rejoin your team."

However, Luffy shouted, "What did you say! Nami, didn't you want to join me?"

Nami immediately retorted sarcastically, "Idiot, that was just a way to brush you off. You're just a moron..."

Luffy was shocked upon hearing this and roared, "You mean you lied to me! You bastard! Let me out!"

Upon seeing this, Bucky the Clown immediately believed Nami's words and said to her, "Hahaha, it seems you really have betrayed us. Well then, to show your loyalty, let's send him on his way with my Bucky Cannon."

Nami, clearly surprised by this, immediately joked, "Wait a minute, I think that's too cruel. Why don't we just throw him into the sea?"

Upon hearing this, Luffy was even more shocked and shouted, "What did you say! Throw me into the sea? Don't joke around! Open the cage and let me out, Nami!"

However, Buggy did not heed Nami's advice. Buggy still ordered his men to light the Buggy Cannon. Seeing that the fuse was getting shorter and shorter, Nami could not bear to watch Luffy die. So she rushed forward and squeezed the fuse tightly, extinguishing it.

Upon seeing this, Bucky immediately retorted sarcastically, "So you really were... deceiving me, Lord Bucky! Die!"

When Buggy saw Nami exposed, he decisively chose to kill the two of them. As he got closer and closer to Nami, a green-haired guy suddenly appeared from behind Buggy and chopped off Buggy's head with a single slash. At the same time, another boy also rushed out and knocked down the remaining fodder with a few punches and kicks.

Upon seeing this, Luffy immediately shouted excitedly, "Zoro! Goten! Come save me!"

Seeing this, Zoro immediately walked towards Luffy, but Goten shouted, "Brother Zoro! Watch out behind you!" Zoro turned around, and a hand holding a knife was already behind him, about to stab him, but a ki blast shot from a distance blocked it.

The hand, writhing in pain, immediately returned to its body. Only then did Zoro realize that the clown whose head he had just severed was now clutching his right hand and screaming in pain…

Buggy the Clown glared angrily at Goten and shouted, "You little brat! How dare you treat Lord Buggy like this? I'll show you the power of my Split-Split Fruit!"

With that, Buggy the Clown decisively tore his body into pieces and swiftly attacked Goten. Goten, however, simply delivered a light punch, sending Buggy's head flying like a meteor into the distant sky. Buggy's body followed his head and vanished without a trace…

Looking in the direction Buggy the Clown flew off to, Goten scoffed, "Trash!"

After releasing Luffy from the cage, Luffy immediately wanted to settle the score with Nami. However, upon seeing Nami's hands, he first asked with concern, "Hey, are your hands alright? Aren't you going to become the world's greatest navigator and draw the world's navigation charts? Shouldn't you cherish your hands?"

Nami's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this, sensing that Luffy seemed different from ordinary pirates, but she still forced a strong expression and said, "What's it to you? Now that your crew is here, I should be leaving..."

Luffy then asked, "Where are you going? Didn't we agree that if I helped you, you would come with me?"

Goten interrupted, "Speaking of which, Luffy, what do you say about that guy's treasure? Should we return it to the town or...?"
