Bonney did the same, touching Robin's hand with her little hand.
A flash of light, and the elegant and intellectual Robin disappeared, replaced by a little Robin who was only four or five years old, with shoulder-length black hair, wearing a mini dress, and still with a calm look in her eyes.
She raised her little hand to look at it, then touched her cheek, and murmured to herself, "Is this... the feeling of shrinking? What a wonderful experience."
Finally, Bonnie turned her gaze to Kuina.
Kuina looked at her two companions who had turned into tiny little bean sprouts, raised her eyebrows slightly, and seemed a little hesitant, but in the end she stepped forward and extended her hand.
She wanted to see what effect this ability would have on the swordsman's body.
The light shone for the third time.
When the light faded, what appeared before everyone was a girl named Kuina with delicate features but still exuding a cold and aloof aura that kept strangers at bay.
She instinctively reached for the purple cloud sword at her waist, only to find that the sword, which had previously fit her hand perfectly, now seemed too large and heavy for her.
Little Guina frowned, seemingly very dissatisfied with her loss of control.
Seeing the three people shrinking on the deck, Bonnie finally couldn't resist. Hands on her hips, a smug expression on her face, she announced:
"See! This is my power—the Year-Year Fruit! Amazing, isn't it! I can make you bigger or smaller whenever I want!"
At that moment, she felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
Little Sabo tried to swing his tiny fist, only to find that his strength had diminished considerably.
Little Robin tried to activate her ability, but only a few tiny hands grew, which had little impact on her overall ability.
Little Guina, on the other hand, was trying to adapt to her shrunken body with a serious expression. Her earnest look, coupled with her childish face, created a striking contrast.
With the three smaller versions of themselves plus Bonnie, the ship suddenly resembled a kindergarten ship.
Liu Jiu sat not far away, quietly watching this farcical scene, a subtle expression finally appearing on his face.
Everyone has become smaller, so should I also become smaller to fit in?
Bonnie stood with her hands on her hips, her face full of smugness. Her big eyes darted around, but instead of immediately turning the three back, she seemed to have discovered some new and interesting toy.
"How was it? Was it fun?"
Sabo tried jumping a few more times, but found that he couldn't jump very high, so he gave up.
Even though it took so long to grow up, it's not a bad thing to reminisce about your childhood sometimes.
He looked up at Bonnie, who was all smiles, then glanced at Robin beside him, who had also turned into a tiny little thing but whose expression remained calm.
There's also Kuina, with a serious expression, trying to contend with the giant purple cloud.
A brilliant idea flashed in the blond little head.
He could tell that Bonnie probably didn't have many opportunities to play with children her own age before.
She's currently enjoying the novelty of having three new "friends".
"Hey, Bonnie!" Little Sabo called out in his childish voice, trying to sound more assertive. "Just standing around is no fun! Since we've all shrunk, how about... we play hide-and-seek!"
This suggestion made Bonnie's eyes light up instantly!
Hide-and-seek? She had only ever secretly watched other children play from the gaps in those magnificent palaces, never participating herself. She was always the one being watched over and isolated.
"Hide and seek!" Bonnie's voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement and eagerness. "Okay, okay! How do we play?"
Upon hearing this, Robin also temporarily looked up from observing her miniature arms, a hint of interest flashing in her eyes. Although she had a calm personality, she had spent most of her childhood being bullied, so this kind of pure children's game was a foreign experience to her.
Even Kuina, who had been struggling with the giant purple cloud, stopped what she was doing, her small brows slightly relaxed, as if she was not opposed to the suggestion.
She doesn't seem to have played hide-and-seek before?!
The swordsman's intuition told her that concealment and searching were, in a way, also a form of training.
This reason is very reasonable.
“The rules are simple!” Sabo immediately took on the role of the rules explainer, gesturing with his little finger.
"We'll choose one person to be 'it' and be in charge of searching. The rest of us will hide. The 'it' will close their eyes and count... um, count to fifty! Once they're done, they can start searching! Whoever gets found first becomes 'it' in the next round!"
“Then… I’ll be the ‘ghost’!” Bonnie immediately volunteered, eager to experience it.
"Okay! Then close your eyes and count! No peeking!" Sabo said, while winking at Robin and Kuina.
The two immediately understood each other.
Bonnie excitedly covered her eyes with her hands and began to count loudly: "One! Two! Three!..."
The child's voice echoed on the deck.
Then, Sabo and his two companions, with their short legs, ran towards the cabin, behind the mast, and among the piles of cables—places where they could hide.
Although their bodies have shrunk, their thinking and experience remain, and they are quite adept at finding hiding places.
Seeing that there was nothing for him to do, Liu Jiu could only continue sitting in the same spot, watching the four "kids" instantly immerse themselves in the game.
"Children have such a wonderful life! Carefree!"
The somewhat somber atmosphere on the deck was completely broken by this sudden burst of childlike fun.
This infused the ship sailing in the dangerous waters of the New World with a rare, almost unreal, warmth.
Chapter 152 The Four Little Ones Play Hide-and-Seek
"...Forty-eight! Forty-nine! Fifty!"
Bonnie finished counting the last number, then abruptly lowered her hands, her large, bright eyes searching around.
"I've come looking for you!"
Like a nimble kitten, she began to search carefully on the deck. She darted into the pile of ropes, parted the wooden barrels, and peered towards the cabin entrance…
The first one found was little Sabo, who was hiding under the canvas but had a wisp of golden hair peeking out.
"Found you!" Bonnie exclaimed happily.
"Haha, we've been found out!" Sabo grinned as he crawled out from under the canvas, dusting himself off.
Then, Bonnie, with her keen observation, found Little Robin, almost blending into the shadows, in a crevice in a corner where clutter was piled up.
When Robin was discovered, she simply blinked calmly, seemingly unsurprised by the outcome.
After all, there aren't many places to hide.
In the end, only Kuina remained.
Bonnie searched every possible hiding place on the deck, and even tried to climb up the foremast to check, but she still couldn't find the little swordsman.
"Where did Sister Kuina hide?" Bonnie stamped her foot anxiously.
Just then, Liu Jiu, who had been sitting quietly, glanced slightly upwards.
Bonnie followed his gaze and saw a small figure huddled in the shadow of an extremely narrow and inconspicuous gap at the top of the mainmast, where the horizontal bar connected to the sail, almost blending into the background.
If it weren't for Liu Jiu's quick glance and hint, no one would have noticed.
“There!” Bonnie pointed excitedly to the top of the mast.
Seeing that her hiding place had been exposed, Kuina nimbly slid down from the height and landed lightly on the deck. Her face remained expressionless, but a hint of...satisfaction seemed to flash in her eyes.
She seems quite proud of the hiding spot she chose.
"Wow! Kuina, you're so good at hiding!" Bonnie ran over, clapping and shouting "Wow!"
Guina raised her chin slightly, accepting the compliment.
The first round of the game is over.
But the game of hide-and-seek continued round after round.
The sea routes of the New World are never short of "surprises".
Despite the prominent banners of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, there are always some pirates blinded by greed or arrogance who try to challenge authority, or simply fools who have no eyes.
Most pirates who have been at sea for some years, upon seeing the unique flag with its dark background, wave pattern, and long sword, would immediately turn their rudders to full lock, adjust their sails to the maximum, and flee the area as fast as they could, fearing that if they were even a step too slow, they would be targeted by that "Purple Sword".
The fearsome reputation of the Seven Warlords of the Sea is also an effective death warrant in the New World.
Its power is comparable to that of the Four Emperors!
However, there are always a few exceptional individuals.
"Huh? That ship over there... it's flying the flag of one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea?"
"The Seven Warlords of the Sea? Hahaha! Perfect! I've been wanting to meet these so-called Seven Warlords of the Sea for ages!"
"Let's get closer! See who this important person is!"
As the two ships drew near, the pirates were all taken aback when they saw what was happening on the opposite deck.
On the deck, there were four little kids who looked to be only five, six, seven, or eight years old!
A pink-haired little girl was chasing a blond little boy, while a black-haired little girl was quietly reading a book, and a little girl with a cold expression was holding a long sword that was taller than herself.
This is... a Shichibukai's ship? How did it turn into a kindergarten?!
"Hahahaha! I'm dying of laughter! Why is Kuina, the Shichibukai 'Purple Sword,' on a ship with a bunch of brats? Could they be imposters?! Hey guys, charge! Take the ship! Those brats are worth a fortune if we capture them and sell them!"
At a command, the pirates roared and threw out their grappling hooks, jumping aboard without a second thought.
All the pirates, armed with weapons, approached the opposite ship and began to capture people.
However, what happened next froze their smiles.
Faced with the ferocious pirates charging at them, brandishing swords, the four "little kids" on the deck reacted in different ways.
Bonney angrily stopped chasing Sabo and slapped the pirates leading the pack: "Who gave you permission to board our ship!"
With a flash of light, the pirate instantly transformed into a trembling old man, collapsing to the ground with a thud.
Although Sabo's size had shrunk, his fighting instincts and skills remained. He nimbly ducked to dodge the incoming slashing blade, his small fist, coated in Armament Haki, still possessed its power. He punched his opponent's joint, and with a crisp "crack" and screams, instantly took down two opponents.
Robin closed the book in his hands and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
Countless miniature arms grew from the deck and the ship's sides. Although they were not as strong as when they were adults, their numbers were still astonishing. Like flexible vines, they wrapped around the pirates' ankles and wrists, tripping them up, disarming them, or throwing them back into the sea.
But the most terrifying one is Guina.
Facing the oncoming pirates, she didn't even loosen her grip on the enormous purple cloud she was holding. Her eyes flashed coldly, and the longsword, completely disproportionate to her size, didn't even fully emerge from its sheath; it merely slid an inch out!
