Chapter 43 Am I a Druid?
Chapter 43 Am I a Druid?
"Professor! The 'Hitting Willow' hasn't calmed down; in fact, it's getting more and more agitated! It looks like it's about to burst out of the ground!"
Following the sound, everyone looked toward the location of the willow tree that had been hitting people, only to find that the tree was indeed twisting its body wildly, trying to break through the soil!
"What's going on?" Professor McGonagall's eyes widened. Although the Whomping Willow is a magical plant, it doesn't mean it can move like a real creature. For the past 20 years, it has been rooted in the soil.
The roots of the willow tree are deep underground; if completely pulled out, they can grow to two-thirds the length of the tree itself.
"Goodness, he's got that Tree Spirit vibe!" Chu Yang exclaimed in admiration. He was about to enjoy Liu Weiwu's beating a little longer when Hermione and Harry grabbed him from either side and started running away.
Ron and Neville led the way.
The two were like two fierce generals, screaming as they carved a path through the air.
Everyone was fleeing in panic. Professor McGonagall and Madam Hooch took out their wands and stood guard between the students and the Whomping Willow, preparing to burn down the tree that had been with Hogwarts for many years.
The roots of the willow tree kept breaking through the soil, tearing apart the lush green grass and revealing spiderweb-like cracks on the smooth ground.
The next second, Darenliu fell straight to the ground like a patient with lower body muscle weakness, with a loud bang and dust flying everywhere!
Upon seeing this, the students all stopped and turned to look.
Professor McGonagall let out a long sigh, her body still trembling slightly, but she feigned composure and quipped, "See? This is the result of trying to run before you can walk. It won't lead to anything better than tripping and falling!"
No wonder he's the vice principal; even at this critical juncture, he's thinking about educating the students!
"Ahhhhh!"
The students screamed again!
Professor McGonagall turned around and found that the Whomping Willow lying on the ground had not completely lost its life, but was crawling like an animal!
Its thick root branches, like the eight legs of a spider, support its massive body and allow it to crawl at high speed.
In the blink of an eye, Willow bypassed Professor McGonagall and Mrs. Hodge, charging straight at the students like a raging bull.
Professor McGonagall pulled out her wand and waved it, casting a fire spell in an attempt to burn the Whomping Willow. However, the Whomping Willow crawled much faster than she expected, and the flames only burned off some of its branches.
"Wait a minute." Chu Yang broke free from Harry and Hermione's arms, noticing that the Whomping Willow was acting strangely.
The other party was clearly coming in his direction, but it was unclear whether they were coming for him or for Harry.
"Chu Yang, run!" Hermione anxiously tugged at Chu Yang's clothes.
Chu Yang explained, "No! Harry and I have to split up and run away from you. That Whomping Willow is coming for us!"
Hermione turned around and saw that the Whomping Willow was indeed charging towards them.
"What are you standing there for! Get on your broom and fly in the opposite direction, don't go where there are many people!" Chu Yang handed the flying broom to Harry. He didn't need it. With his speed, the Whomping Willow would never catch him in his next life.
If Chu Yang were alone here, he wouldn't need to run away at all. Whether it's Wood Release or Taijutsu, Chu Yang could easily deal with Hit-Man Willow.
In public, Chu Yang couldn't use such extraordinary power, otherwise tomorrow the Ministry of Magic would take him to do research, or lock him up in Azkaban.
"I should have brought my wand with me. Why is the Charms class tomorrow?!" If he had a wand to cover it up, Chu Yang could have used some of the power of Wood Release. He regretted it and secretly vowed to get rid of this bad habit.
After venting his frustrations, Chu Yang dashed out in a single stride!
"Chu Yang, what are you going to do?" Harry wanted to grab the other person, but he didn't react in time. He gritted his teeth, mounted his broom, and flew into the air.
"Damn it, I shouldn't have waited for you here!" Hermione, furious, turned and ran, her short legs hopping like a wind-up toy.
After running a few steps, Hermione felt no movement behind her. Instead of feeling relieved, her heart sank, because this meant that Chu Yang was absolutely right.
When she turned around, the willow tree that had hit her indeed changed direction and ran towards Chu Yang alone!
"Hermione, its target is Chu Yang!"
Harry, flying through the air, was filled with regret!
It was because he ignored warnings and chased after the Golden Thief that he accidentally entered this place, causing the riot at the Willow of Beating People!
More importantly, Chu Yang gave him his flying broom!
If anything were to happen to Chu Yang, Harry felt he would feel guilty for the rest of his life!
To protect the safety of his classmates, Chu Yang led the man-beating willow towards the forbidden forest, a sparsely populated area, and that was the only direction he could run.
The massive body of the "Hit-Man Willow" is like a tiller, leaving behind a trail of holes and barren land wherever it goes.
They ran like that for a while until they could no longer see anyone behind them.
Chu Yang, who had long been impatient, immediately stopped, clenched his fist, and turned around to prepare to punch it.
To Chu Yang's surprise, after he stopped, the Willow Tree that had been hitting people also stopped and slid all the way to him using its momentum.
Then it stopped moving and the branches on the tree slowly drooped down around Chu Yang, swaying gently as if it were being coquettish.
Chu Yang stared at the enormous creature in front of him with a strange expression...
What's going on here now?
Seeing that Chu Yang didn't react, the willow tree stretched out its branches in front of him and rubbed them against the back of his hand.
"Could it be...?"
Chu Yang's eyes widened as he grabbed a branch and infused it with magic.
The magical power containing immense natural life force entered the massive trunk of the Mandarin Willow, causing all its branches to dance excitedly in an instant.
"It really was because of my magic that they chased after me!" Chu Yang thought for a moment, realizing that the magic he released while flying must have had an unknown effect on the Man-Beating Willow.
Judging from its performance, it seems to have a very beneficial effect. The original willow tree had some instincts that other plants did not have, and now the willow tree seems to have higher intelligence.
Due to the influence of special magic, it is developing in the direction of "life"!
"If this continues, won't I become a druid?" Chu Yang was stunned; this was a path he had never imagined.
Liu Ke didn't think that much about it. She kept rubbing against Chu Yang, like a kitten or puppy trying to please its owner and get more food.
The child is hungry, let's give him some magic food!
Due to the combined influence of his soul and physique, Chu Yang's magical reserves were already ridiculously high. In this regard, he was not stingy at all and increased the output of his magical power.
The willow tree began to emit a green light, symbolizing life, and even its branches began to overflow with green light spots like fireflies.
The willow tree is growing little by little, its height increasing from the height of a three-story building to the height of a five-story building, and it is still growing.
As dusk approached, the Willow Tree was bathed in a warm, golden-red glow that blended with the green light, making it resemble an ancient god on the verge of rebirth.
