The perfect fusion of speed, power, and skill made it impossible for anyone present to react or keep up with Swire's out-of-the-box movements, not even Swire himself.
But it doesn't matter, she still has a fourth arm, the chain hammer that carries her countless brilliant ideas.
As Swire swung the chain hammer in mid-air, a barrage of blades, even more intense than the previous hail of bullets, instantly filled the enemy's vision, bringing with it a shower of blood and eliciting screams of agony.
The moment she landed, she had successfully torn a huge hole in the hundred-person formation, leaving behind a trail of wailing cries.
This chilling scene transformed into a tangible deterrent, weighing heavily on the minds of every enemy.
Even though those present understood that rushing in was the right thing to do and would surely drown the obstructing film, the deterrent effect continued.
Zalak, who was closest, reached out and wiped the blood from his eyelids, his hand trembling as he aimed again at the person so close to him.
She had already failed many times when the person in front of her was rampaging, but for some reason, Philin just didn't kill her. Instead, he let her chase after him, getting weaker and weaker each time and more inaccurate each time.
This time, her crosshair still found its target, who remained indifferent to her, continuing to wield the strange chain weapon and eliminate her other companions.
The chains were so flexible they seemed not to be made of iron. In Swire's hands, they were like the most cunning and swift Phidias (a snake, referring to the reticulated python), with hammer-like teeth that tore and strangled everyone, devouring them.
Brutal yet deliberate, it stimulates all the senses like a dull knife cutting flesh.
Zalak watched breathlessly, wanting to pull the trigger, but found his fingers were numb and unable to move.
The veins on her temples were bulging, and her eyes were dry and cloudy, as if they were bloodshot. She looked utterly disheveled.
Swire, who was in the crosshair, seemed to have lost interest in teasing her. For the first time, he turned around and looked at her, rushing towards her with light steps.
Zalak's body grew increasingly numb. She gave a bitter smile, realizing that she had lost her choice.
But is that really the case? No.
"Bang!" The sound of the gun firing was much louder than that of Zalak and the others' small guns.
The bullet grazed Zalak's ear before he could react and was pulled away by Swire, and Swire swung her hammer in the opposite direction, pinning a figure to the wall.
But this time, the invincible chain hammer seemed to have lost its effect. The opponent only swayed slightly before landing firmly again.
This made Swire seriously suspect that if she hadn't pulled back quickly, the chain hammer might have been intercepted by the other side.
Swire wasn't surprised by this. She was well aware of her own strength in single combat; it wasn't weak, but it certainly wasn't strong.
The person opposite was dressed like a metal can, his entire body was made of technology and ruthless skills. Putting aside everything else, his strength and defense were easily superior to Swire's.
Most importantly, because this person had already made a move, his accomplices no longer hid and came out of their cover to approach, and there were quite a few of them who were just as dangerous as this person.
Swire realized that her previous backup plan was probably useless and she needed to rethink it.
There was still some time before the new group arrived, so the gang members present and Swire tacitly stopped fighting.
"So this is why you stopped me?" In the tense silence, Swire was the first to speak, pointing at the well-equipped group.
Her gaze swept across the faces of Zalak and Liboli, before finally settling on Zalak, the woman closest to her.
Zhalak swallowed hard, responding nervously but with a hint of grievance, "Someone tipped off the boss, telling him to tell us to keep a close eye on you, but who knew he was from out of town!"
This is tantamount to directly leaking information.
However, the other gang members present all showed expressions of agreement, and some of the bolder ones even loudly added more detailed information in turn:
“This is not sweet talk or a lie! I saw the big boss talking to them with my own eyes. That person sat quietly and talked to the big boss. He looked like a local tyrant. Moreover, the clothes he was wearing looked very fashionable and stylish.”
"The gang leader clearly made an agreement with us, saying it was just a slight overstepping of the line, but unexpectedly things changed halfway through. He made an urgent call demanding that you, officer, be kept under tight control. Now that I think about it carefully, there must have been a traitor who sabotaged the communication lines and leaked the information!"
"*Dragon Gate Swearing*! Which traitor has tampered with our gang's confidential information?!"
"Shut your mouth! Let's see who dares to say anything they shouldn't!"
The commotion ended with the last person to speak, Li Boli. He seemed to have a lot of influence in the opposing gang, and once he opened his mouth to rebuke them, no one else provided any more information.
Seeing the key figure finally emerge, Swire gave him a hostile smile and immediately pressed, "Finally decided to come out! Quickly tell me the truth! When did your gang secretly collude with forces from other regions?"
Upon hearing this, the previously restless gang members instantly fell silent, with some unable to suppress their expressions of shock and betrayal.
Li Boli's temple throbbed, and he stepped forward, forcing a smile, "Officer, don't try to test me here! Our gang really knows absolutely nothing about this!"
"It was a small, low-profit job to begin with. I was just going through the motions, taking the money and that was it. Who knew it would turn out like this! -- Yes, it's our fault. I admit defeat. I'll turn myself in at the police station tomorrow at dawn!"
"But the most crucial thing right now is—how can we get out of here unscathed? Judging from their attitude, those guys from out of town want to completely destroy you. They look down on our gang and want to drag us down with them!"
Swire didn't believe it at all, but after glancing at the new enemies who were slowly approaching as if watching a show, she had to temporarily stop talking about it and instead said bluntly, "Want to keep your life? Tell your men to take my orders!"
Without the slightest hesitation, Li Boli nodded immediately. He had personally experienced Swire's command abilities, even though it was against the enemy, and it was the first time he had been imprisoned since becoming a cadre.
Those of the highest rank present had already expressed this opinion, and other members of the gang with certain status began to push through the crowd and step forward to receive orders.
ps:
Is it because they recommended books to each other? Or is there a change in the content? How come there are forty more people all of a sudden? It's only been half a day (before, after reaching a hundred, it only increased by twenty-odd people a day).

I, Kikyo, the Sage of Gensokyo
Orange Fanfiction
My Plant Spirit Cards Are Definitely Problematic
Original Orange, likely set in a Western fantasy world.
The characters have a strong contrast; the protagonist is a vampire nun who turns into a vampire saintess. She has top-notch acting skills, is a drama queen, and is also a lazy bum (but can't be lazy).
The writing style is impactful and humorous, employing numerous memes and exaggerated, visual metaphors.
The narrative pace is tight, efficient, and concise, with no unnecessary dialogue; everything is focused on advancing the plot, presenting information, and developing characters (especially in the early stages).
Then, as expected of a work by a collection of XP, every scene involving physical intimacy is filled with eroticism.
Those who like this type of thing can check it out.
Volume 2: Fireworks at Lungmen: Chapter 17 Ta-da! Commander Swire makes a dazzling appearance! (Although she wasn't there to give orders)
Swire directed the crowd to spread out to both sides against the wall before shouting, "Form teams of five with the people you know best as quickly as possible!"
Then he pointed at the groaning crowd on the ground and said, "Those who know medicine, go and drag the injured guys aside. Treat what you can, and leave what you can't!"
"You and this woman follow me!" Swire turned to look at Liboli and Zalak beside her and casually gave the order.
After she finished speaking, her gaze fell back on the wave of enemies that were already very close.
Eleven heavily armored wielding giant axes, their entire bodies covered in plate armor.
Nineteen slender assassins, cloaked and with weapons hidden.
The burly, heavily armored figure, covered in advanced technology and ruthless tactics, wielded six guns, each a size larger than his own.
There were a total of 36 people, all of whom were elites.
If they really fought, they would probably collapse in a second and have no chance of winning.
If this weren't a dead end, I really wouldn't want to face it alone.
Swire thought to himself that it would be troublesome to also command an unfamiliar gang.
Fortunately, this is a street, and there are still about a hundred members of the gang who are capable of fighting.
Swire narrowed his eyes slightly, his pupils dilated, and he looked intently at the thirty-six people.
Finally, my gaze settled on a heavily armored figure positioned towards the back.
That was the person she had hit once with her chain hammer. Judging from the occasional staggering figure of the other party, that hammer blow had not been entirely without effect on him.
Swire re-evaluated the data of the super-heavy armor, turned his gaze to Zalak beside him, and held up three fingers, saying, "Find the leader of Team Three to report for duty."
Zalak nodded immediately and turned to walk into the noisy crowd of gang members.
"Find the person in charge of Team Five to report here and verify the number and situation of the teams," Swire instructed Li Boli.
After the other party left, he shouted to the crowd, "Team leader, tell everyone to gather up the weapons on the ground and prepare to move to another location!"
After a brief moment of confusion, the gang members, under the command of their captains, began to search for equipment all over the ground.
Li Boli broke free from the bustling crowd, strode forward, and bowed, saying, "Sir, where are we moving to? The captains are waiting for instructions!"
"Tell them to wait for instructions, and remember to keep an eye on what the enemy does!" Swire suppressed the urge to scold the other party for not having the surname Swire, and said succinctly with a hint of impatience.
“Yes!” Li Boli immediately tensed up and ran away.
At this moment, Zalak and Liboli, who had been there earlier, also arrived with several people each.
When Swire saw them, she quickly explained the arrangements, told them their current team names, and then told them to disperse and prepare, awaiting her further instructions.
As for Zhalak and Liboli, after Liboli finished saying there were twenty-eight teams, she waved for the two of them to go find the team leaders again, the same number as before.
After repeating this process for all teams, the ground was cleared (referring to people and equipment).
Everything is ready.
Swire took a deep breath, holding a megaphone handed to him by one of his underlings, and pointed it at the group of elites.
With a piercing "beep," Swire's voice, crackling with electrical static, echoed throughout the streets: "Hey—you guys who're surrounded, whose sugar daddy is it? Why not switch sides now! —Buzz—"
The elites remained silent, only drawing closer.
"It seems our outsider friends don't know any rules, so we'll teach them! Charge!" Swire said, slamming the megaphone on the ground with a roar, and charged out first—there was no other way; if he didn't take the lead, he couldn't really command the newly acquired rabble.
Accompanied by various strange cries, the gang members rushed forward in a flurry, following Swire, and the earth rumbled as they stomped their feet like drums.
The eleven heavily armored elites in the front row instinctively raised their giant axes, slowed their pace, and their eyes behind their masks flashed with vigilance.
The assassins then used their heavy armor as cover to quietly disappear.
The heavily armored soldiers stepped forward, then crouched down and activated some devices to immobilize themselves in place.
Then they pulled out large guns resembling city cannons from behind them, clearly targeting Swire. This frightened the gang members near her, causing the entire charging formation to become crooked and no longer a threat.
Swire ignored it; she had no intention of confronting the enemy head-on, and the mission of the people around her was not to follow her into battle.
They were just trying to get some new information. Since it didn't work, they would naturally go and do what they were supposed to do under the captain's leadership.
Swire shook off her distractions and continued charging forward, dragging her long tail. Without her chain hammer, she was much faster than before and quickly reached the heavily armed man.
The moment the two met, the giant axe fell rapidly under the force of the heavy armor, but still only managed to chop off a few strands of tail hair.
Brown fur was blown into the sky by the wind whipped up by the axe, then smashed down by the whistling boulders, all crashing onto the heavily armored toes.
Before he could recover from the shock, the heavily armed man anticipated the situation and moved sideways again. Another large rock crashed at his feet, followed by a third, a fourth, and countless more.
Stones rained down, quickly engulfing the heavily armed men in the front row, as they continued to chase after the rapidly advancing Swire.
Gang members stood in various parts of the streets and alleys, cheering loudly. They worked even harder, following the arrangements that Swire had made in advance, to shoot down walls and buildings, take stones, pass stones, and finally, from a high place, they watched Swire, who was wearing a red hat and a green cloak (the gang had no choice but to find this person), and together they smashed the stones.
The pile of stones that had submerged the heavy armored man stirred slightly. One of the heavily armored men struggled to push aside a stone, revealing his head and upper body to breathe. He used the stone as support to crawl out, then tumbled down.
Blood seeped from the edges of the heavy armor plates. A numb and ruthless glint flashed in the heavy armor's eyes. He pulled out an axe from the side and continued chasing after Swire despite the rain of stones.
Ahead, Swire was being chased by assassins and fled in all directions. The six heavily armed men did not hesitate for a moment, and opened fire every time Swire tried to stop and catch her breath.
With her superior speed and keen anticipation of her opponent, Swire avoided being hit once, at most suffering minor cuts from the flying pebbles.
However, several of the assassins chasing after her have already been accidentally injured.
Swire's eyes reflected all of this. At a certain moment, she suddenly stepped back and spun around, almost getting stabbed in the neck by the pursuing assassin. Fortunately, she managed to dodge again, which also caused the gang members to gradually stop throwing stones.
The scene was quiet for a moment, but it was soon filled again by the assassins' rapid breathing and the constant bombardment of heavy artillery shells.
Swire's breathing was also rapid. She only had a dozen minutes left before her strength was completely depleted, or perhaps even less. This was why she retreated in advance to signal her intention to withdraw.
The other party was a bit more difficult to deal with than I had imagined.
but it does not matter.
Swire's sharp, pine-green eyes reflected the assassin's blade. Felin's supple body allowed her to leap quickly, kicking the assassin out of the fray. Then, more assassins seized the opportunity to surround her.
ps:
Cantonese is really hard to write, but thankfully this is the last chapter. Swire basically won't speak Cantonese in front of the protagonist.
Finally finished writing, haven't even touched a game today TAT.
