Chapter 132 An Anxious Person
Chapter 132 An Anxious Person
God!
A thunderbolt struck Lorne's mind.
"Omniscient and omnipotent," a word popped into his head without his noticing.
"A being in mythology who is omniscient and omnipotent... Could this world really be related to God?"
Don't tell me that time travel is a joke played by God.
Suppressing his shock, Lorne focused his attention on the mural.
In front of the cross stood an exceptionally majestic figure, surrounded by angels with two, four, or six wings.
It's so relatable... God and angels, these images fit Lorne's impressions before his time travel.
"This cross symbol is definitely not a coincidence."
Could these angels be the legendary Michael and Gabriel...?
Continuing the gaze downwards, a majestic figure, bathed in sacred light, stands before the cross, hands clasped to the chest, supporting an ancient and simple stone slab.
"Desecrating the stone slab!"
Lorne couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. The Blasphemous Slab was the starting point of the world's mysticism, and it was said that all the potion recipes were passed down from there.
"Could it be that God created this world and then..."
No, that's not right... Lorne realized he might be mistaken.
This God may not be that God... If Roselle could become Julius Caesar, it seems not impossible for a time traveler to recreate the creation myth if they traveled to the future early enough and gained enough power.
After all, cosplay is really fun. Using a cross as a holy symbol might just be for the sake of playing the role.
So this is the church of some time traveler predecessor?
Or……
"Hey, are you alright?" Tracy asked, looking at Lorne who hadn't said a word.
"What do you think of this mural?" Lorne asked.
"A creation myth, huh..." Tracy turned her gaze away.
"The blasphemous stone tablet...the legendary creator?" She seemed to realize what was on the mural as well.
But she couldn't say much about the other parts of the mural.
"Hold this for me." Lorne handed the lantern to Tracy.
"What is this?" Tracy took the lantern, somewhat bewildered.
"Take a picture." Lorne took out his camera; something this important had to be recorded.
"I have a feeling this mural is quite valuable for research..." Lorne said, taking out his camera and starting to look for the right angle.
"The captain will definitely be interested in these things." Thinking of Edwina's thirst for knowledge, Lorne thought that she might be able to figure something out.
Whether the mural depicts a time traveler or the legendary God, he had a premonition that it was definitely related to time travel.
"Captain!" Tracy's hand holding the lantern suddenly trembled.
An unnamed rage suddenly erupted within him.
"You're going to take a picture and show it to Edwina Edwards?!"
"Hmm." Lorne nodded subconsciously.
"No." Tracy hugged the lantern to her chest to block out the light.
Okay, I knew that "Iceberg General" liked academic research, so I specially took pictures to show her. So that's why I brought the camera.
"Why?" Lorne was a little confused. He couldn't understand Tracy's reaction, and he felt that Tracy seemed to be angry again.
"We discovered this island together, how could you tell other people this secret!" After calming herself down, Tracy managed to come up with a plausible reason.
"This..." Lorne stopped what he was doing.
Tracy's reasoning was indeed quite reasonable. After all, the island's extraordinary resources seemed quite considerable, and it was perfectly understandable that she didn't want others to know about such a treasure trove.
"Hmm..." Lorne pondered for a moment and said, "I will only show the captain these photos related to the murals, and I will not say anything else."
"Are you going to show it to her?"
"Don't worry, I understand your concerns," Lorne reassured him.
"I know the captain well. She is very principled in these matters and would not question the origin of these photos."
Lorne recalled the time she and Edwina studied the notes together, but she hadn't investigated the source of the notes at the time.
"Knowing what kind of person she is... haha..." Tracy savored the words, a twisted smile spreading across her face.
Clearly, Lorne's words had the opposite effect, and Tracy focused on the first part of his statement.
"So, you really do know her very well..."
The light was dim, and Lorne couldn't see the other person's expression clearly.
"I think I know him fairly well... The captain is a pretty good guy." Lorne recalled his life on the "Golden Dream".
Although Edwina had some secrets that made Lorne uneasy, she was undeniably kind to her guest.
"Alright, hurry up and lift the light up, I'm going to take a picture."
To be honest, the discovery of the cross mural greatly attracted Lorne's attention, causing him to subconsciously ignore many things in his extreme excitement, such as someone's extremely bad mood.
"You... Hmph... Fine, go ahead and film!" Tracy raised the lamp.
While Lorne was enthusiastically taking photos, she began to have different thoughts.
"When we get back, let's tie him up. Isn't he an adventurer? He shouldn't be taking risks anymore; he should come with me and become a pirate..."
My mother didn't say much, and she even helped me. Hadn't she always wanted me to change...?
No problem...
It was clear that certain traits of the Witch Path had begun to affect Tracy, and she was actually devising a plan in her mind that she would never have thought of before.
A moment later, Lorne had completely recorded the mural, and he gazed thoughtfully into the depths of the ruins.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
At Tracy's call, Lorne took a few steps deeper into the ruins.
"Sure enough." He spotted a set of steps not far away, which seemed to connect to an underground area.
"Hey, didn't we agree to just explore a little? There's definitely danger down there." Tracy stopped Lorne from exploring deeper.
"Um……"
"Meow?"
Lorne took the lazy Rachel out of his bag and put her in Tracy's arms, then took the lantern from her.
"I want to go down and take a look. You're injured, so you can wait for me here."
"Hey! You took such a big risk just to photograph these historical sites for Edwina."
"Keep your voice down." Lorne made a shushing gesture.
"I have my own ideas, you don't need to worry..."
……
An anonymous person was observing someone's every move from some unknown corner.
Suddenly, he sensed some kind of malice rapidly approaching the island.
This deviates from his script.
But before he could take any action, another gaze, seemingly from the endless void, was cast upon them.
"This feeling is...mysterious!"
"It was him... How did he notice this place?"
Above the gray fog.
"That's strange, something seems wrong with the divination."
"But I wasn't in any danger."
Having become a Sequence 7 and believing himself to have a certain ability to withstand risks, Klein looked at the blurry divination image in front of him, somewhat bewildered.
