Chapter 404 Leaving the Team Midway
Chapter 404 Leaving the Team Midway
Chapter 404 Leaving the Team Midway
Cindy.
On the bus to Valencia, Peter sat down next to Cindy and asked a crucial question: "Can you get in touch with Nick Fury?"
"...Okay, has something happened?"
"No, nothing really happened, but I need to know a few things."
Logically speaking, Peter could be certain that there was no direct connection between the search for the Taranto tarantula and the murder of the Parker couple. After all, there was a logical problem: if it were related to the Taranto tarantula, Hydra would certainly not have allowed him to bring those tarantulas back to the United States for experiments. Moreover, he had left this notebook in Uncle Ben's basement before his last mission, making it even more impossible for him to have foreseen what secrets he would discover during the mission and intercept the information beforehand.
Unless my father was Kang the Conqueror.
Cindy was puzzled, but nodded out of trust. Peter went even further and made a request: "Could he board our ship to Naples? If so, I'll wait for him on board."
"You seem a little agitated? Is something wrong?"
"No, it's nothing."
Peter breathed a sigh of relief and sat down on the bus. According to the plan, the convoy would arrive in Valencia at noon today, and after a few hours of rest, the students would take a boat to Naples. But Peter felt as if a dark cloud was hanging over his head, as if something was entangled with him.
However, the truth is that Nick Fury arrived even faster than he expected.
After they got off the train in Valencia, Cindy handed him a note with an address on it. Peter rushed over and saw Black Egg again. Black Egg looked bored and sat in a chair, waiting for Peter Parker's questions.
Where did my parents have their accident?
"On the plane, in a plane crash, you should know very well that."
"Before that? Where?"
"In Hungary, they took a plane from Budapest and then encountered a plane crash en route. Just like Walter Hadda in 03, the people investigating the super soldier program in Europe all ended up in Budapest."
Fury, on the other hand, looked at Peter with great interest: "Did you discover something, Spider-Man?"
"no."
Although he had expected it, Peter sat down in his chair, unsure whether to relax or bewilderment, after hearing the news: "I... I discovered that my father may have gone to Europe earlier, for the sake of the plan of savage power. He went to Taranto, Italy."
"I know he said he needed to deal with some personal matters. Some friends who helped him complete the project back then might be able to help him. But unfortunately, we still don't know who this friend is."
Peter stared blankly for a moment, then looked at Nick Fury incredulously: "You didn't know?"
"Policy doesn't allow it. The super-soldier program is a Pentagon-related area, and we can't investigate any intelligence in that area unless it involves terrorists or evil organizations. Do you think I sent your parents to Europe out of boredom? It's because there are super-soldier-like figures among terrorists, and the agents tracing their origins need technical support."
If a hostile force hadn't developed super soldiers, Nick Fury wouldn't have sought related technical support. Because Project Savage Force was one of the few super soldier programs outsourced by the Pentagon, Nick Fury was able to come into contact with the Parkers.
"So... the Pentagon said they wouldn't let you investigate, so you just won't investigate?"
"How could that be?" Nick Fury said expressionlessly, indicating that he had indeed done it. "However, we still don't know who helped your father in Taranto. Theoretically, since your father chose to visit them in Taranto, the person should theoretically be there. But whether our agents were monitoring your father or searching high and low in Taranto, we haven't found any relevant clues."
Peter was utterly astonished. He hadn't expected Nick Fury to have discovered nothing, especially since this matter theoretically had nothing to do with Hydra...
"Could the person who helped my father actually be a Hydra agent?"
"If they could create all the super-soldier projects themselves, why would they choose to infiltrate us? Hmm?"
Fury disagreed with Peter's point of view. In fact, there was an even more crucial issue: if the accomplice really was Hydra, then perhaps it would have been more advantageous to expose him to S.H.I.E.L.D. and have him replace Richard Parker as a super-soldier research expert within S.H.I.E.L.D. But in reality, that didn't happen.
It's important to know that Richard Parker was still alive at the time, and Hydra's existence was not exposed as a result.
Peter and Nick Fury stared at each other, both completely baffled.
"So...this matter is actually unrelated to what we're investigating?"
"Maybe there is, maybe there isn't, but we can't find any clues. Perhaps you could go and take a look; that's what you're thinking, isn't it?"
Fury stood up and said, "I can prepare another LMD for you to help Peter Parker complete his trip to Europe. Meanwhile, Spider-Man can go to Taranto and see what's there."
"What if the elementals come? They'll definitely adjust their tactics, and what if they attack my classmates..."
"I'll handle this, Spider-Man."
Nick Fury smiled and said, "You just go ahead and investigate. Leave the rest to Nick Fury."
"...Not S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
Can S.H.I.E.L.D. still be trusted?

Meanwhile, in Valencia, Sylvia and the Wild Band were hosting an unusual group of guests. Upon learning that the Elementals were essentially spirit beings and that magic was needed to combat them, she promptly outsourced the task to another group. The Wild Band, on the other hand, would be employed by Nick Fury to handle other matters.
"Hello, Miss Sylvia, I am Captain England, you can also call me Captain Avalon."
A freak dressed in a tight-fitting suit, resembling someone wearing the Union Jack, smiled at Sylvia. He was Captain Britain, the leader of the British superhero team "The Sword," whose power came from the amulet of the great sorcerer Merlin—the very amulet that King Arthur had not chosen.
Other members include the telepathic Psylocke; a descendant of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, the Black Knight wielding the magical sword "Ebony Sword"; and a fairy princess who can transform into various legendary creatures and summon elements.
Simply put, this is a superhero team composed of King Arthur's legacy and mutants. Unfortunately, Charlemagne didn't leave much of a legacy for France, so they don't have their own superhero team yet.
And they will be the best people to fight against the elementals.
The Fairy Princess is Megan Puchanu. She can summon and converse with the four elements of water, fire, wind, and earth, or transform into creatures such as werewolves, vampires, and dragons. She can also transform into other people, like Mystique.
Her codename really is "Goblin Princess," which is very strange. What's even stranger is that her power comes from the X-gene; she's a mutant.
Mutants really can get all sorts of weird and wonderful abilities.
