Chapter 286 The End of the Holiday
Chapter 286 The End of the Holiday
During the rest of the holiday, I want to go to Hogwarts, so I won't be able to visit Riddle as often.
I arranged to visit him a few times, and each time he surprised me. We talked about our love, and the air was filled with romance during those moments we spent together.
Every word he said, every glance he gave, was like magic, captivating me as if the whole world had shrunk to just the two of us.
However, holidays always seem too short.
Soon it was time to meet Harry and the others at Diagon Alley to buy school supplies.
Severus went back to Hogwarts a week before me.
I wrote to Harry and the others inviting them to my villa again, since the holiday was almost over anyway.
At the entrance to Diagon Alley, I saw Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny from afar.
They waved to me enthusiastically, their faces beaming with excited smiles.
"Where are Fred and George?" I asked curiously, not seeing the two pistachios.
We walked side by side into this bustling street, surrounded by crowds of people and a dazzling array of shops.
"I don't know. They left in a very secretive manner, saying they had something to do, and they also asked you, Senior Ayers, to help them buy school supplies," Hermione replied.
Hearing Hermione's answer, I knew where the two of them were now.
"Then let's go buy what we need first. Butler Chen will help transport your luggage to my house." I had already arranged for Butler Chen to pick up their luggage before I left. I had them pack their luggage a day in advance.
"Okay, we've been looking forward to this for a long time. We've already packed our things and put them at Black's old house." Ron has been craving the delicious food at my house, and he's really looking forward to going to Senior Ayers' house.
"Yes, mine was packed a long time ago too," Harry replied with a smile, standing beside me the whole time.
I smiled at Harry when no one else was looking.
Next, we went to Flourish and Blotts.
The bookshelves were filled with all sorts of books, including those on the history of magic, spells, and herbalism.
We wandered among the piles of books, carefully selecting the books needed from the list sent by the school.
Hermione was full of curiosity about every book. She carefully flipped through them and occasionally shared some interesting facts with us.
I took three of each type of book, and in the end, Harry and the others paid for them together and they were delivered to my house.
After purchasing the books, we went to Honeydukes candy store.
The store is filled with a dazzling array of colorful candies, and the air is filled with a sweet aroma.
Ron rushed into the store and picked out his favorite honey candy and chocolate frog.
Harry picked some Lemon Olaf, while I chose some Pepper Boys.
To keep her promise to her parents, Hermione only took a small amount of candy.
Then I took Harry and the others to my own potion-making supplies shop to buy the necessary potion ingredients and replenish the required items.
Finally, I went to buy notebooks, quill pens, ink, and other miscellaneous items.
"Is there anything else you need to buy?" I asked the shop assistant to send the last of the items I needed to my villa.
"It seems like I've bought almost everything." Hermione looked at her shopping list again, carefully confirming.
“We should be all together now.” Ron looked at his sister’s shopping list carefully, making sure nothing was missing, in addition to his own.
“Mine is all done too.” Harry looked at his shopping list in my hand. Harry had been checking each item himself, but unexpectedly, Ayers took his own shopping list and looked at it.
"Well, we should have everything we need. If anything is missing, we can ask Butler Chen to buy it for us later. What are your plans now? Are you going to continue shopping, or go straight to my house?" Now that we've bought most of the items, it's time to see what they want to do next.
"Can we go ahead first? Don't we have to wait for Fred and George?" Harry asked curiously.
“I can take you there first, and then I’ll go find Fred and George,” I replied to Harry with a smile.
“Actually, Senior Ayers, we can go there ourselves first. We know your address,” Hermione said with a smile, pulling Ginny along.
“Okay, then you guys go ahead first, I’ll go find Fred and George myself.” They’ve been to my house before, so I know they can go by themselves.
“But I want to go with you, Ayles, to find George and Fred.” Harry wanted to be alone with me for a while and didn’t really want to leave with his friends first.
"How about this, Hermione, Ginny, and I will go to Ayers' house first, and Harry and Ayers can go find Fred and George together." Actually, Ron also had his own reasons; he also wanted to stay with Hermione, which is why he made this suggestion.
"Then you two go to my house first. Butler Chen will make the arrangements for you. I'll go with Harry to find Fred and George before going back." I also think this arrangement is quite good.
And so, we parted ways and went our separate ways.
I walked with Harry along the cobblestone streets of Diagon Alley, the magical aura emanating from the shops around us like threads.
Sunlight streamed through the stained glass, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow.
Finally, we arrived at Fred and George's shop.
The shop door was half-closed, and the signboard swayed gently in the breeze, making a crisp sound.
Looking inside, Fred and George were sitting at a table in the customer service area, their heads huddled together, discussing the products with great enthusiasm.
They gestured and laughed, their faces beaming with excitement and anticipation.
This was Harry's first time here.
Although the shop had not yet opened and the shelves were empty, without a single finished product, his eyes shone with curiosity and surprise.
The store is decorated like a magical fairy tale world. The walls are covered with funny portraits, and the characters in the paintings will make faces at people from time to time. Balloons of various shapes float on the ceiling. They change colors automatically and make soft "popping" sounds from time to time.
Fred spotted us first. He jumped off the table and ran over, laughing, "Hey! Harry! Welcome to the future headquarters of the Weasleys Wizarding Tricks!" George followed suit, patting Harry on the shoulder enthusiastically.
Harry looked around and said sincerely, "This place is so much fun! I can already imagine how lively it will be after it opens. I really didn't expect you guys to open a shop here."
George grinned smugly: "Of course, everything here is unique."
"This is all thanks to Ayers. This is the shop Ayers prepared for us," Fred said happily to Harry.
Then, they took us on a tour of the store, introducing the products that would be available in the future as we walked.
"Look, this place will be filled with our quick-acting truancy candy. Once you eat it, you'll disappear instantly, and the teacher won't be able to find you."
Fred pointed to an open space and described it vividly.
Harry's eyes widened in surprise, and he couldn't help but burst out laughing.
George then led us to a corner: "Our automatic writing quill will be here. Just tell us what you want to write, and it will help you finish your homework."
I joked, "If this were sold to students, the teachers would be driven crazy." Everyone burst into laughter.
During the introduction, Fred and George's eyes were filled with anticipation for the future.
They put a lot of effort into this shop, from the birth of the idea to the preparation for the opening, every step of which embodies their wisdom and hard work.
As I left the shop, the setting sun had already draped Diagon Alley in a golden veil.
Harry looked back at the shop and said, "I can't wait for the day it opens. This will definitely become the most popular place in Diagon Alley."
I smiled and nodded, confident that Fred and George's magic trick workshop would shine brightly in the magical world.
When I returned with Harry, Fred, and George, the last rays of the setting sun were slowly disappearing, night was about to fall, and it was already time for dinner.
Hermione, Ron, and Ginny were already seated in the restaurant, bathed in warm light, making the scene exceptionally cozy.
We rushed back, travel-worn, and as soon as we entered the restaurant, we were drawn in by the enticing aroma.
Butler Chen is so thoughtful; he always manages to arrange everything perfectly.
The table was laden with a variety of delicious dishes, including fragrant roast chicken with a golden and crispy skin and tender, juicy meat; a tempting vegetable salad with a variety of fresh vegetables that looked very appetizing; and a rich mushroom soup in a pot next to it, steaming and emitting an intoxicating aroma.
Everyone sat around the dining table, and the atmosphere suddenly became lively.
Fred and George, this pair of lively characters, started telling all sorts of funny stories as soon as they sat down. Their exaggerated expressions and vivid descriptions made everyone laugh out loud.
Harry would occasionally add his own observations and experiences.
Hermione listened quietly while elegantly cutting the food on her plate, occasionally asking interesting questions.
Ron devoured the roast chicken, his cheeks puffed out like a squirrel, and mumbled, "This is so delicious! The chef at Ayers's house is getting better and better." Ginny looked at everyone with a beaming smile, her eyes filled with happiness.
As I watched this heartwarming scene, a warm feeling welled up inside me.
In this world full of magic and the unknown, it is so precious to have such a group of like-minded companions and to have such a heartwarming moment.
As everyone enjoyed the delicious food, they shared their thoughts and feelings, as if all their fatigue and worries had vanished in that moment.
Dinner drew to a close amidst laughter and chatter, with everyone thoroughly satisfied.
We said goodbye to each other and went back to our rooms to rest.
And so, Harry and his friends spent the rest of their holiday at my house.
During those days, we laughed and played together, sharing every little detail of our lives.
We chased and played in the garden, and chatted about the wonders of the magical world in the living room. Every day was filled with joy and warmth.
Before they knew it, it was time to return to Hogwarts to study again.
In the early morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains and fell on my face, so I got up early.
After washing up, I tidied myself up.
Harry and his friends acted quickly, and soon everyone was dressed.
Unlike them, I didn't bring any luggage.
They each dragged their suitcases and came out of the room one after another.
The sound of the suitcase being dragged across the floor was like a unique prelude to farewell.
Everyone carefully placed their suitcases into the cars parked in front of the villa.
I had Butler Chen arrange for three cars to take us to Platform 9 at King's Cross Station in London to catch the Hogwarts Express.
Standing at the villa entrance, a gentle breeze blew by, carrying a hint of sadness.
Looking at the familiar scene before me, a feeling of reluctance welled up in my heart.
I spent many wonderful times with them during this holiday, and now we're going back to the magical Hogwarts.
As we were preparing to leave, Butler Chen handed me a huge food box. I knew it was breakfast that Butler Chen had prepared for us, since we were leaving early and hadn't had breakfast yet.
"Young Master, if you have any instructions, you can send a letter back," Butler Chen said respectfully.
“Okay, I understand,” I said to Butler Chen.
We boarded the car one by one, and the car slowly started moving.
Through the car window, I watched my villa gradually disappear into the distance, silently bidding farewell to this place full of memories, and promising to return again after graduation.
Along the way, everyone was somewhat silent, perhaps still immersed in the joy of the holiday, or perhaps filled with anticipation and unease about the upcoming new semester.
Finally, the car arrived at King's Cross Station.
The platform was bustling with people, and everywhere you looked there were students carrying suitcases and wearing wizard robes.
We dragged our suitcases toward platform 9.
That seemingly ordinary brick wall now appears to be a gateway to another magical world.
Harry led the way, took a deep breath, and then led everyone toward the wall.
In an instant, it was as if we had passed through an invisible barrier, and the familiar Hogwarts Express appeared before us.
White smoke billowed from the train's chimney, as if beckoning us.
We boarded the train and found our seats.
"Let's eat something first. This was all prepared by Butler Chen." I opened the large food box, which was full of delicious breakfast dishes.
A rich and unique aroma instantly filled the air.
Steamed dumplings, with their translucent wrappers, encase tender and juicy meat fillings, garnished with bright green scallions; fried dough sticks, golden and crispy, exude an enticing aroma of oil; and steaming hot soy milk, topped with delicate white foam, seems to embody the warmth and everyday life of the East.
Harry and the others gathered around, their eyes filled with curiosity and doubt.
These oddly shaped foods, emitting unfamiliar aromas, were completely new to them.
Harry reached out and carefully picked up a steamed dumpling, examining it closely as if it were a mysterious work of art. He took a small bite, his eyes widening instantly, a look of delight spreading across his face. After chewing a few times, he mumbled, "Oh my god, what a delicious treat! The texture is amazing, the taste is absolutely incredible!"
Seeing this, his companions also picked up the food they were interested in.
Hermione picked up a fried dough stick, broke off a small piece, and put it in her mouth. The crisp sound was particularly clear in the quiet room.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she chewed and gave a thumbs up: "It's wonderful! I've never experienced this kind of crispy texture before!"
Ron picked up a bowl of soy milk, took a small sip, and as the warm soy milk flowed down his throat, a satisfied smile appeared on his face: "This soy milk is silky smooth and fragrant, with a hint of sweetness. It's so delicious."
Fred and George didn't have time to say anything. They already knew that the Oriental cuisine at the Ayers' house was very delicious, so there was no need to say anything; they just had to eat.
As everyone enjoyed the breakfasts, they shared their thoughts and feelings about the Eastern breakfasts, filling the once quiet room with laughter and exclamations of praise for the food.
