Chapter 107 Awakening Tom Marvolo Riddell
Chapter 107 Awakening Tom Marvolo Riddell
Harry Potter will never forget the moment he is witnessing.
A flock of owls staying at their uncle's house took flight at the sound of a single sentence uttered by the neighbor's older brother, who was dressed in all black.
This young man's eyes can change color, gradually becoming deeper and brighter from the same emerald green color as himself, like twinkling stars in the night sky with a touch of blue.
Then he said something very strange: "Is life something you have to choose for yourself?"
"Yes." For some reason, I answered without thinking when I heard this young man's question.
“My name is Ayles Hall Grindelwald, you can call me Ayles.” I smiled and told Harry my full name as he took the letter I handed him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ayers." Little Harry hadn't been this happy in a long time; it had been a long time since anyone had talked to him.
He was like a ghost at his aunt and uncle's house, only remembered when they were helping with chores. Today, he was so happy to have a neighbor's little brother chat with him.
"Well, Harry, I'm going home now. My family is waiting for me." It's time to say goodbye to little Harry. I still need to go see Riddle.
"Okay, goodbye Ayers." Little Harry said goodbye to me happily.
I waved to Harry and walked towards my house, taking out the super fancy golden key to open my front door.
Everything in the house is the same, except it lacks the warmth of home. According to Riddle's timeline, it's been many years since I've been back to this house.
I changed into slippers and went upstairs to my room. When I opened the door, it was completely dark. The curtains, which should have been open, were drawn. All the clothes I had put in the closet were scattered haphazardly on the bed, seemingly all piled up on my big bed.
There was a little bundle of joy on my super king-size bed. I tiptoed to the bedside, took off my shoes, stood up, and lay down next to the little bundle of joy.
Riddle lay on the bed like a sleeping statue. His face was as pale as snow, but his lips were an eerie deep red, as if he had just drunk his fill of blood.
His long, black hair lay loosely on the pillow, a stark contrast to his pale skin.
His eyes were closed, and his long eyelashes cast a faint shadow on his cheeks.
His breathing was steady and deep, as if he had entered a state of eternal slumber.
However, his body exuded a chilling aura that sent shivers down one's spine.
His fingers were long and slender, resting gently on the sheets, as if guarding something.
He wore a black ring on his hand, inlaid with a blood-red gem that shimmered with an eerie light.
I lay down beside him, gently stroking his long black hair, picking up a strand and kissing it. I took off my gold-rimmed glasses, and my black hair turned golden, and my emerald eyes turned golden.
“Tom Marvolo Riddle, I miss you,” I said with a soft laugh to Riddle, who was sleeping on the big bed.
"Hmm~" Riddle, who was sleeping, stirred slightly, but still did not open his eyes.
"Looks like I'll have to give Sleeping Beauty a kiss to wake him up." I lifted Riddle's chin with my hand and leaned down to kiss him.
Riddle's body trembled slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes, revealing a hint of confusion.
He looked at me, as if trying to recall something.
“Ai…Aiers?” Riddle’s voice was hoarse and low, with a hint of confusion.
"Hmm~ You're awake. Are you hungry?" I gently stroked Riddle's face and smoothed his disheveled hair.
"How long have I been asleep?" Riddle was still a little groggy.
"I don't know either." I really don't know when Riddle started sleeping.
"Ayers, I'm so hungry." Riddle was indeed very hungry when he woke up, especially with me next to him; his fangs were showing.
“Here, have some.” I pulled down my shirt slightly around my neck, exposing my neck for Riddle to suck my blood.
"Hiss~" Riddle bit it a little, making me let out a soft sound.
Riddle was starving, gulping down the blood. He even softened his sucking when he heard me hiss softly.
"Suck it in, eat your fill." I gently stroked his long hair.
After Riddle finished eating, his hair turned back to short hair and black eyes.
I was completely exhausted and lay limply on the big bed.
"After you've eaten, go tidy yourself up and clean up my room too. I'm a little sleepy." She might have lost too much blood and is feeling weak.
"Okay, you can rest now." Riddle gently placed me on the large bed covered with my clothes.
Gradually, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
When I woke up again, it was already past midnight.
“You’re awake.” Riddle sensed my movement and knew I was about to wake up.
"I was supposed to wake you up, but I ended up falling asleep myself." She slowly sat up and tidied her hair.
“I already knew what happened while I was asleep.” Riddle sat up and turned on the room light.
The momentary light made me squint, but when I opened my eyes after my eyes adjusted, I saw that the room was neat and tidy again.
"Ayers, you won't disappear again this time, will you?" Riddle was particularly insecure. Every time I disappeared, it was accompanied by a period of time. He had waited many times, and this time he would just sleep to pass the time.
"No, this is my real time now, you can find me." I know I've brought too much insecurity to Riddle.
"I don't want to wait any longer. Waiting is just too lonely." Riddle had truly waited for many days and nights. For me, time might be a day or two, but for Riddle, it was a year or two.
He can use tedious tasks to replace the time he spends waiting for me, but as time goes by, he will only miss me more and more, but he may not be able to find me anywhere in the whole world.
That must have been really tough on him, but things are different now. He can find me here now, instead of just waiting foolishly anymore.
“I’m sorry, Riddle, but I can tell you now that my name is Ayles Hall Grindelwald, and I’m a third-year student at Hogwarts, in Slytherin House.” I looked at Riddle and said each word carefully.
“Ayers, I’m curious to know your actual age. You looked about the same when you came to the orphanage to adopt me. You haven’t changed at all over the years.” Riddle looked at me seriously. I seemed to have never changed, only his age had been changing.
"If we're really talking about actual age, I'm only a few years younger than Gellert Grindelwald." Having lived two lives, I have no idea how old I am.
