This has obviously taken too long.
"There must be a way to speed things up," Chu Hang thought to himself.
Just then, Ego's avatar suddenly appeared in front of him, his smile vanishing, replaced by a look of surprise and uncertainty.
"What...what did you do?" Igor stared intently at Chu Hang. "I sensed it...you have the same aura as me."
While he was instructing Quill, he suddenly felt a tremor in his core consciousness, as if something was peering into his deepest secrets.
Chu Hang stood up, dusted himself off, and smiled.
"It's nothing, probably just a connection between strong individuals."
He stretched out his hand, and a ball of golden energy appeared in his palm.
The energy kept changing and eventually became a miniature, living planet.
"Perhaps I'm just like you."
Igor's expression changed completely.
Chapter 118 The War of the Gods
Igor's smile froze.
For the first time, the smile on that handsome, charming face froze. He looked at the miniature version of himself in Chu Hang's hand, a hint of undisguised horror flashing deep in his eyes, followed by undisguised killing intent.
He could sense that the other person wasn't imitating, but creating. That kind of fundamental manipulation of matter and energy was exactly the same as his own.
This means that the seemingly ordinary human in front of him has reached the same level as him in terms of the level of life.
“Interesting.” Igor quickly composed himself, forcing a smile, though it seemed somewhat strained. “It seems I’m not the only solitary traveler in the universe. Friend, are you also a god?”
"I suppose so," Chu Hang replied casually, dispersing the energy in his hand.
He could sense Ego's murderous intent, but the other party concealed it well. Clearly, he didn't intend to turn against him until he understood his own strength and needed Quill as a "battery."
"That's great!" Ego exclaimed with delight. He stepped forward and tried to pat Chu Hang on the shoulder, but Chu Hang subtly avoided him.
“Peter, did you hear that? We are not alone!” Igor turned to Quill, his voice trembling with emotion. “We are the most supreme life forms in the universe, and we share a common mission!”
He pulled Quill aside and began to paint a grand picture. He said his expansion plan was to bring order and light to the cold universe, to bring all life into his eternal consciousness and make them one.
Quill was completely captivated by these words. To become a god, to possess eternal life, and to reshape the universe with a divine father—this was an irresistible temptation for him. He was so excited that his face flushed red, as if he could already see his future reigning over the universe.
Chu Hang watched coldly from the sidelines.
Through the Mantis's almost overflowing fear and sorrow, and his newly acquired divine sense, he had completely seen through Ego's plot.
What expansion, what light.
To put it simply, it's about eating.
Ego sows seeds throughout the universe. Once he finds another offspring who can inherit his power, he activates all the seeds, devouring all the life-bearing planets in the universe and making them part of himself.
Those lives he described as eternal ended up becoming part of his nourishment.
Chu Hang walked up to the crowd and interrupted Igor's impassioned speech.
"Alright, stop acting." He looked at Ego and said calmly, "Isn't your plan to turn the entire universe into your own buffet? Quill is just a battery."
Igor's face darkened.
"Friend, I don't understand what you mean."
"Don't you understand?" Chu Hang turned to Quill and pointed to the ground beneath his feet. "Aren't you curious about how many bones are buried on this planet beneath your feet? Those are all your brothers and sisters, the failed products who couldn't inherit his power, all of whom he disposed of as garbage."
"You're talking nonsense!" Quill retorted excitedly, stepping forward to stand between Igor and Chu Hang. "You're just jealous that I found my family! What right do you, an outsider, have to interfere in our family affairs!"
Blinded by his father's love, Quill was completely deaf to anything anyone was saying. His eyes were filled with anger and the humiliation of being offended.
Chu Hang sighed. Arguing with someone who's been brainwashed is pointless.
"Fine." He ignored Quill and looked at Gamora and Rocket. "You two, do you trust me?"
Gamora and Rocket exchanged a glance and nodded without hesitation. They had witnessed Chu Hang's methods and had harbored doubts about this seemingly perfect Igor from the very beginning.
"Then come with me, I'll show you something good."
After saying that, Chu Hang reached out and made a gesture in the air, and a spatial rift appeared out of thin air. He was the first to step into it.
Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot followed closely behind.
Quill stood there, stunned, watching them disappear. He then looked at Ego, whose face was grim beside him, and was at a loss for what to do.
They passed through a spatial rift and arrived at a huge underground cave.
In the center of the cave is a gigantic, brain-like luminous body emitting a soft white light. Countless glowing nerve bundles extend from this "brain," connecting to every corner of the entire planet.
This is the heart of Igor.
Around the brain, there were mountains and seas of bones.
Countless skeletons belonging to various intelligent beings densely covered the entire cave floor. Some skeletons were as huge as small mountains, while others were as slender as children. They were layered upon each other, resembling a white ocean.
"My God..." Rocket stared at the scene before him, speechless with shock. He had seen countless bloody scenes, but he had never seen such a quiet and terrifying graveyard.
Gamora's face turned deathly pale. She bent down and picked up a skull from the pile of bones, its surface bearing unique markings. "This is Xandarian... I've seen it before."
Drax watched all this in silence, his fists clenched so tightly they cracked. He seemed to see the shadows of his wife and daughters in this mountain of bones.
“What he said… is all true.” Gamora’s voice trembled.
Just then, Igor's consciousness descended.
"Outsiders, you've crossed the line!"
The entire cave began to shake violently, and the bone mountain on the ground began to collapse. Countless rock tentacles stabbed at Chu Hang and the others from all directions, carrying the fury of wanting to crush them into mincemeat.
"Stand behind me."
Chu Hang raised his hand, and an invisible barrier protected everyone. The rock tentacles struck the barrier and shattered into powder.
"Since you don't want to be dignified, then I'll help you be dignified."
Chu Hang made a grasping motion in the void, facing the core of Igor.
[The Law of Force - Distortion]
Ego's core emitted a sharp, mournful cry. The gravity, electromagnetism, and strong and weak forces that constituted it began to spiral into chaos. The planet's surface began to crack, and the sky changed color, as if it were the end of the world.
"what--!"
Ego's agonizing roar echoed across the entire planet. His handsome avatar vanished instantly, and on the surface, a gigantic face composed of mountains and oceans, filled with boundless rage, emerged.
"I am going to kill you!"
A massive ball of energy erupted from the giant face's mouth, a ball that contained a portion of the planet's essence, its target being Chu Hang deep within the Earth's core.
Chu Hang looked up and glanced at it.
"Finally stop pretending?"
He used his spatial powers to send Gamora and the others back to the Milan, then faced the energy sphere alone.
He did not dodge, letting the energy sphere, powerful enough to destroy a satellite, engulf him.
The light from the explosion illuminated the entire Earth's core.
A sinister smile appeared on Igor's massive face.
但下一秒,他的笑容就凝固了。
As the light faded, Chu Hang floated unharmed in the air, his body covered by a layer of shimmering adaptive armor. The surface of the armor was rapidly analyzing and evolving, simulating the energy impact from just moments before.
"Is that all you've got?" Chu Hang cracked his neck. "Is this what they call a Celestial God? It's weaker than I thought."
In Chu Hang's understanding, the division of power in the universe is very clear.
Thor, with his hammer and all that, is at most a satellite-level being.
At her peak, Carol could withstand a fleet; she was considered a planetary-level being.
Ego, on the other hand, is a planet in itself, capable of manipulating matter and energy; he is a true god-level being.
Above that are the likes of Odin and the Ancient One, who wield the power of laws and dimensions—the Godfather level.
As for Dormammu, the ruler of the multiverse, and the five cosmic beings of the Living Tribunal, they are beyond the scope of conventional understanding.
Although Ego before us is a god-level being, his attack methods are too simplistic, consisting only of pure energy and physical impacts, without even touching the edge of the laws.
"You've totally pissed me off!"
Ego went completely berserk. The entire planet came alive. Countless mountains transformed into giant hands, descending from the sky and slamming towards Chu Hang. The earth cracked open into abysses, trying to swallow him whole. The air became viscous, filled with highly poisonous spores.
Chu Hang's figure moved between the giant hand and the abyss like a ghost.
[Space Cutting]!
Invisible cracks flashed by, and the giant hand that was slamming down was neatly severed, the cuts as smooth as a mirror.
The Law of Force: Singularity!
He pointed to the ground, and a miniature black hole, invisible to the naked eye, appeared. The surrounding matter and energy were frantically devoured, causing Ego's control over the planet to momentarily stagnate and become chaotic.
"ended."
Chu Hang seized this opportunity.
He gathered all his power—the life energy of the Celestials, the laws of force, and the laws of space—at his fingertips.
He's not creating weapons, he's weaving rules.
Space is folded, power is compressed, and life energy becomes the driving force.
A spear made of pure laws, shimmering with golden light, took shape in his hand.
The Spear of Laws!
He threw the spear.
The spear made no sound, nor did it pierce the sky. It ignored all physical distance and material obstacles, appearing before Ego's core the instant it was thrown, and then... pierced through it.
"Do not--!"
Igor let out a final, unwilling roar.
