Chapter 16: The Prelude to the First Invasion - Part 1

Twenty minutes before the space carrier took off, Aegis satellites detected that the 25th Task Force/Mobile Support Force of the Second Fleet had launched over a hundred carrier-based aircraft.

The two parties were not under the same management system, and Nick Fury neither inquired nor cared.

This is normal. Extraterrestrial armies could arrive at any time. The armies of the five major powers are frequently being mobilized, and some are even conducting live-fire drills.

The mothership's only weapons are its carrier-based aircraft and two nuclear missile launch systems. What can it use to retaliate? At this point, launching fighter jets and nuclear missiles would be suicidal.

"Control the space carrier's descent, call for support, contact Lieutenant General Johnson and order him to immediately cease the attack, contact the White Building and the Star Building!" Maria Hill reacted quickly, revising the orders before grabbing the communicator and asking, "Li, how long can the energy shield last? How many attacks can it withstand?"

"What's going on? Who's attacking us?" Vega, who was maintaining the shield in the room, had no idea what was happening outside, but the continuous explosions outside and his rapidly depleting energy made him realize that the situation was very bad.
