Chapter 141 Mo Ran
Chapter 141 Mo Ran
"Good! Very good! The charges against Harry James Potter are unfounded!"
Fudge was desperately suppressing his anger, and his voice was barely audible. Looking at his messy desk and the ink bottle that had been overturned at some point, his aversion to Dumbledore intensified.
Dumbledore was not surprised by this outcome. After watching Harry leave the trial room, he stood up abruptly from the chained chair and said:
"Well then... please continue with the case concerning Albus Percival Woolflick Bryan Dumbledore's violation of the International Law Against Duels and the International Federation of Wizards' Law of Secrecy. I believe the Ministry of Magic and the members of Wizengamor will give me a just verdict."
To outsiders, this statement might seem innocuous, but to Fudge and his cronies, it was incredibly ironic.
They originally wanted to use Harry to clear their name of the person who impersonated Voldemort and attacked Hogwarts, but seeing that one of the old man and the young man had already been exonerated of all guilt, they couldn't think of any way to reverse the situation.
Finally, unable to withstand the pressure, Fudge ended the trial in a very unscrupulous way.
Using the pretext of investigating and verifying evidence and handling procedural issues at the trial, the current Minister of Magic forcibly called a technical pause for himself.
Because the Wizarding Criminal Procedure Act stipulates that judges can adjourn or postpone the trial in the event of an emergency, Dumbledore had no choice but to continue to bear the identity of a suspect.
The crowd slowly poured out of the courtroom, and by the time Dumbledore turned and walked out the door, only Harry, who had just "criticized" him for making mistakes, remained outside.
"Why don't you go home? Your friends and elders are probably waiting for your good news."
"Ah, that's true."
Harry nodded in agreement:
"However, since I hadn't seen the principal for so long, I thought I should say hello before leaving."
Their conversation might seem a bit inappropriate between a teacher and student, but it was perfectly normal for two friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time.
Dumbledore smiled and praised Harry:
"You reacted very quickly and cleverly just now."
"Thank you."
Harry replied:
"After all, the teachers who taught me were the best in the world."
Dumbledore looked at Harry with satisfaction, about to say something more, when suddenly...
Da da da da!
The crisp sound of heels hitting the floor grew louder as a group of Aurors from the Ministry of Magic rushed over.
“Dumbledore, sir, the minister has new instructions. We need your cooperation in signing some necessary documents before you can leave the Ministry of Magic.”
Harry frowned at the words of the leading Auror.
He stood in front of Dumbledore and said:
"This is unreasonable. The trial has ended. You have no right to restrict the principal's personal freedom."
The Aurors exchanged glances, said nothing, and simply stared intently at Dumbledore.
The atmosphere was slightly tense.
"Don't worry, I'll handle it. There's not much time left in the holiday, you should enjoy it while you can, and we can talk again when school starts."
Dumbledore gently patted Harry on the shoulder.
Ironically, it was the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic who were the first to breathe a sigh of relief upon hearing his explanation.
