A veteran of the ninja world: surviving from the Six Paths of Heroes to Boruto

Chapter 195: The middle-aged man with a mustache

Chapter 195: The middle-aged man with a mustache

In this pure land, the Uchiha clan's territory still retains its ancient and simple appearance from when it was in the human world, with bluestone-paved roads extending deep into the clan's territory.

Guided by his clansmen, Uchiha Tajima arrived here.

"Long time no see, Tajima."

A cheerful voice rang out from beside him, and Uchiha Chen walked over slowly.

Uchiha Tajima froze instantly, raising his eyes to carefully examine the newcomer, his tone full of surprise and astonishment: "Clan Chief Chen?"

"It is me."

Uchiha Chen smiled and nodded, then naturally took his arm: "I've been waiting for you here for ages. I didn't expect you to have lived this long. Come on, I'll take you inside to meet the past clan leaders."

Having said that, he led Tajima toward the inner courtyard of the clan compound. The two had just crossed the gate when they bumped into Uchiha Sa, who was walking hurriedly.

Uchiha Sa's gaze fell on Tajima, she raised an eyebrow slightly, and casually asked, "New here?"

"Tajima, let me introduce you. This is Chief Sa."

Uchiha Chen smiled and stepped aside to introduce him.

Tajima quickly followed worldly etiquette and bowed slightly, saying, "Greetings, Chief Sa."

"Sigh, forget it."

Uchiha Sa waved her hand dismissively, "Once we reach the Pure Land, we'll all be dead. There's no need for any distinction between superiors and inferiors. There's no need to observe these formalities."

"Chief Sha, are you going out?"

Uchiha Chen asked the question as he went along with it.

Uchiha Sa glanced down at her phone, tapped it lightly with her fingertips, and said in a lighthearted tone, "I found a restaurant with amazing reviews in the Pure Land. I'm off to check it out. I'll talk to you later."

As soon as she finished speaking, she turned and left, her figure quickly disappearing at the intersection.

Uchiha Tajima stared at the strange, glowing gadget in her hand with a puzzled expression, completely unable to figure out what it was.

Seeing his bewildered expression, Uchiha Chen chuckled and patted him on the shoulder: "Tajima, you've just arrived in the Pure Land, you'll need a few days to adjust. This world of the dead is much more interesting than the human world."

Tajima nodded blankly, then the doubts lingering in his mind surged up, and he finally couldn't help but ask, "Clan Chief Chen, has my grandfather arrived? I remember he walked ahead of me, so he should have arrived at the Pure Land before me."

Tajima always remembered that his grandfather had passed away before him, and by all accounts, he should have settled down in the Pure Land long ago.

Uchiha Chen's smile froze abruptly as he snapped back to reality, instantly recalling the clan elder Tajima had mentioned.

"No! The clan elder... he never came to the Pure Land!"

Chen cried out in surprise, his expression suddenly changing.

Immediately afterwards, a thought that sent a chill down his spine suddenly popped into his head, and his tone was filled with disbelief and shock.

"Wait! You mean, the clan elder has actually lived all this time?!"

Two full months have passed since Manji's shocking death that rocked the entire Hidden Leaf Village.

During these two months, the Konoha leadership devoted themselves entirely to preparations for the Hokage election.

The village appears calm on the surface, but undercurrents are swirling beneath, with a subtle atmosphere set before the leadership transition.

It is located in the heart of Konoha's central avenue, a prime location with the highest concentration of people and customers.

A brand new eatery has quietly opened, its simple wooden storefront exuding a lively atmosphere, making it particularly eye-catching in the bustling street.

The shop owner was a middle-aged man with a friendly demeanor and a neat mustache.

With a mysterious man who always wore a mask, with only his emerald green eyes showing.

Inside the kitchen, steam billowed, and a rich aroma, mingled with the fragrance of noodles, filled the air.

Kakuzu wore a plain apron that seemed out of place with his demeanor. His fingertips deftly measured the seasonings, and he muttered the recipe for the secret broth:

"First, add a little salt to enhance the flavor, then a few drops of balsamic vinegar to balance the richness, and finally, pair it with chewy and springy Naruto rolls..."

He was focused on cooking his unique ramen.

"Kakuzu, your skills are getting better and better. You're doing a good job."

In a few days, I... no, I mean, I'll give you a raise.

The middle-aged man beside him smiled and joked casually.

Kakuzu's face instantly showed an undisguised helplessness, and he sighed softly as he replied, "Old man, thank you so much for your care."

"Haha, no need to be so polite. From now on, just call me Grandpa."

Wan Ci laughed loudly.

Kakuzu nodded silently, his heart filled with helplessness.

If he hadn't witnessed firsthand the unfathomable power of the man before him, he probably would have already fled at any moment.

Just a few days ago, he was imprisoned in Konoha prison. Upon hearing the news of Manji's death, he secretly planned a prison break.

But the next second, Wanci appeared right in front of him. What terrified him even more was that the other person's appearance slowly changed before his eyes. The traces of time faded away, and the person's age was reversed, returning to a middle-aged appearance.

This incredible ability completely extinguished any thoughts of rebellion or escape he had.

"Kakuzu, our new shop has just opened, and we need to give it a catchy name. What do you think would be suitable?"

Wan Ci snapped out of his thoughts, turned around, and asked with a smile.

Kakuzu narrowed his long, narrow eyes slightly, pondered for a moment, and then said, "How about we call it the Konoha Old Tavern?"

Upon hearing this, Wan Ci's face instantly darkened.

"Never mind, let's just call it Ichiraku Ramen."

"Although ramen is our main dish, the shop can't just serve that one thing. I'll give you the recipes for several fast food dishes later. Memorize them carefully and learn how to cook them properly."

Wanci gave another earnest instruction in a deep voice.

Wanci remembered many fast food recipes from his past life.

"OK."

Kakuzu immediately nodded solemnly in agreement.

Just as the two were talking, Konoha Ichiraku Ramen welcomed its first customers since opening.

Hiruzen Sarutobi walked side by side with Danzo Shimura as they slowly entered the shop.

"A new store, huh? Not bad, it looks very clean."

Hiruzen Sarutobi gently surveyed the clean and tidy interior of the shop before leading Danzo to a seat.

Danzo followed closely behind, his gaze quickly sweeping across the store, a hint of interest curving his lips as he nodded slightly.

"Shop owner, your shop location is quite something. To get such a prime spot in the heart of Konoha, did you perhaps bribe some high-ranking officials to get approval to open here?"

Danzo joked with a smile.

This area is the most bustling and central part of Konoha, teeming with people and brimming with business opportunities. Any shop opened here is guaranteed to be extremely successful.

Danzo couldn't understand why the Konoha leadership would allocate such a valuable location to a seemingly ordinary ramen shop.

Kakuzu remained calm and composed, glancing at Danzo and replying indifferently, "The land for this shop was personally approved and reserved by the First Hokage before his death. We were just lucky to be here."

Upon hearing this, Wanci chuckled softly without making a sound.

He approved this plot of land himself before his death.

Otherwise, such a prime location would have been snapped up by others long ago, and it wouldn't have survived until now.

"Gentlemen, the First Hokage tried my noodles and said they were delicious! Would you like to try some?"

Wan Ci smiled slightly and asked.

Danzo and Hiruzen's eyes lit up: "Since even the First Hokage ate it, we have no choice but to try it!"
